Entry Point Selector 1.3.0

Open a new window where you can choose where to spawn for each map

Usage:

The SPT/user/mods/EntryPointSelector/client folder has EntryPointSelector.exe. It lets you choose the map and then entry points on that map.

Once you select an entry point of a map, you will keep spawn there when you raid on that map. Multiple entry points can be selected from which a random one will be chosen. A selected entry point can be unselected by clicking on it again

Client mod is optional

Options:

  • Only Once
    • If selected, after raiding a map, the selected entry points for that map are removed
    • If not selected, you will keep spawning on the selected entry points unless manually deselected
  • Auto Open
    • If selected, will open the exe itself once you choose a location
    • Opens on a second monitor if you have it. Otherwise, you won't see the window because the game is running in fullscreen but it's open behind the game.
    • If the client mod is installed (BepInEx folder in the zip), the exe automatically switches to the map you chose to raid in

Installation:

Extract into main SPT folder where Aki.Server is

Or copy only the mod folder from inside the zip to SPT/user/mods if you don't want the client mod

  • i have no idea how to use this

    Happy 1
  • Can confirm it works on 3.7.1. Amazing tool.

  • @usama8800 you are the best!!!!!!

  • support 3.7.3?

  • anybody know of a similar mod that might work?

  • Works no more with 3.7.X. ;(

    Crying 1
  • Still works fine in 3.6.1 and hot damn does it work well.

I love it, I can basically play as one would with Traveler/Path to Tarkov but I actually get to choose my own path based on how I think the maps should work. Hell yeah.

  • I don't know if this is a just me problem, but it doesn't seem to do anything on 3.6.1. I'll have an entry spot selected and then it'll just spawn me randomly as it normally does.

    • Nevermind, I think I was just using it wrong. Sorry!

  • Well I can say it works for the few runs I did in 3.6.1

  • can i close the window after selecting spawns

  • Hy!! Thx for your great work, i test it on 3.5.6, and it works very fine. Just click on "map destination", second window open and shoose location with little red circle. It's game changer for me, i can manage my raid. Very great job. Thank you

  • Hey there!

I didn't want to upload a single image as an entire mod, so I decided that because it requires this mod so much, I'd rather leave it as a comment instead!

I drew this simple PNG map to simulate the Path to Tarkov mod series from trap and Duc Boi

    Map here!

Path To Tarkov Map, PMC Edition - by Forward Gale Winds

The mods they made pretty much solidified what I always thought Tarkov was supposed to be. To not have instant access to Traders, and forced to carry your supplies on your back until you made it to a Trader, and your hideout. I don't feel I'm in control anymore, and I love it.

While waiting for those amazing mods to update, I made my own version following its application and how it can be used along side SPT-AKI 3.5.5. If you're currently playing on 3.5.4, Please use their mod, as it automates the process for you, and it's pretty fun too!

For those who wish to play the same on 3.5.5, keep reading.

Entry Point Selector requires you to make sure all PMC extracts are 100% available all the time for my map to work!

You will then use usama8800's Entry Point Selector, and chose your spawn to follow along the path I drew on the map. That's it!

It's literally just a drawing that I took inspiration from trap and Duc Boi, and simply made my own version so PMC's can Extract, and Infil in the correct locations. The link below simply leads you to an image, and you can use that to guide your decision. You can do whatever you want with the map, as long as you have fun!

Thanks a lot to usama8800 for making this amazing mod, as well as trap and Duc Boi for having the initial idea and mod!

  • This mod sounds amazing, just I am having an issue when I open the selector I cannot click on any of the entry points. When I hover the circle becomes green, but when I click it does not register the click and does not allow me to select the entry point. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I am using a windows, maybe missing a redistributable?

    • I accidentally uploaded a wrong version of an update. I have already deleted the version and am uploading a new one. Meanwhile version 1.1 works fine

      Thumbs Up 1
    • I've tried both 1.1.0 and 1.2.1 today, and I am still having this problem. The curcles light up green as i hover over them, but I can't select any of them. Any suggestions?

    • If you haven't moved any files from inside the server mod folder (data and client folders should be directly inside the mod folder), then press F12 after opening the client and send me the error that pops up

  • Yo this is sick. I don't know the extent of Tarkov modding but it would be really cool if the window in the EXE. pops up right before you load in or sum.

    Thumbs Up 1
    • That's a good idea

    • Hey Usama, it says insufficient permissions to access download page when I try to download the update.

    • When did you try? I deleted a faulty version about an hour ago which I uploaded about 3 hours ago.

    • I just tried again and the link works now! I think the website was just being weird. Thank you!

  • I don't understand how I am supposed to use this mod.

Could you provide some more information?

    • Find "Entry Point Selector.exe" in the client folder inside the mod folder. Most likely it is in "SPT/users/mod/Entry Point Selector/client/"

Then before going into a raid, choose the map you're going to raid in, in the window that opened from "Entry Point Selector.exe" and click on the red circles which are the spawn positions.

    • Works like a charm!

Well done and keep up the good work

  • Does it work with 3.5.4?

  • Nice!

can you make a version where you can select multiple entry points that stick in the config and then are random selected at raid start for each map?
