Retina Blasting Full Power Military Lasers

Makes all laser much much brighter like actual military lasers.


There are two seperate folder as a standalone mod keep this in mind when unzipping and installing.
The procedure might be different.

Drop them in the mods folder.

they should be 2 different folders standalone.

  • Warning:
    v1.0.0 is outdated.
    I reused alex's bundles which are outdated.
    This causes nothing to be changed:
    Fixed in v1.1.0

  • The flash light works, But the laser doesn't look like it does in the picture, I think the lasers aren't working for 3.5.2.

    Could it work f I change the brightness of the 'Texture2D' archives in 'flashlightcookie1.bundle'?

  • I can see hard edges where the light suddenly stops. Might be because I have an ultrawide monitor but not sure.

    • The flashlight is just a projected square texture even without this mod
      With the flashlight being more intense those edges are amplified.
      Do you think this is an issue that needs fixing?

    • yes, I found it very distracting and had to stop using the Better Lights portion of the mod.

    • LOL yeah I feel like I have an aircraft landing light attached to my weapon. It would be nice to reduce spread angle of the light to make it a bit tighter.

    • Right? Like, I believe the default size of the flashlight in vanilla was alright but has trash visibility while this one has amazing visibility but its just way too big.

    • yes and no.
      I can change the size of the flashlight but I would have to make it the same size for everyone and not make it configurable as that is changed withing gamefiles that cannot be modified by code at runtime as far as i know

    • You could just make multiple bundle presets and people can then select what they like the most out of them all.

    • Would also love to be able to configure this somehow. As others have already said, the intensity is great, but the cone is just too large.

  • There's a weird bug in vanilla

    when I use melee attack while flashlight is turned on,

    a strange shadow appear in the light...

    Could you please fix that issue?

    • I need more info to fix this.

      Please leave a more detailed description of the problem, how it occured and what the exact effects were.

      also make sure the version you are using is compatible with your SPT version.

  • i download 2.0.0 and using laser in 3.2.2 and 3.3.0 but it doesnt work?

    light is work fine.
    i remember in the old days i using 2.3.1 and its all work fine,but i cant find 2.3.1's betterlight&laser now. pretty shame.

  • A must have mod! Is there any way to adjust the brightness of the lights please? It seems too bright for me.

    • Sadly these edits require loading special files wich cannot be easily configured by a config or similar

  • Thanks for bringing this mod back from Alex; I appreciate the work you've been doing by bringing his old mods to light <3 . I know the description says to move only better light/lasers to the mods folder but do I move the .git folder or leave it alone?

    • Really late update but the .git folder is not necessary and is honestly just my sloppiness leaving it in.

    • That is probably because you have not updated to the latest SPT version. If you are still using 3.2.1 then use the mod version 1.2.0

    • i have updated to the latest version 3.2.2 and i'm trying the latest version of the mod 2.0.0

    • Oh my bad. This is actually two different mods. BetterLight and BetterLasers you need to put each of those folders in there seperatly

    • Yes the old mod was still technically compatible with 3.2.1 but I refactored some basic stuff and will keep it up to date as alex is too busy to do so anymore.

      The functionality as of now is unchanged.
