LAn's Spawn Presets (Based on Lua's Spawn Rework) 1.0.0

This mod contains two types of presets based on Lua's Spawn Rework to improve your SPT experience.

This mod contains two types of presets based on Lua's SpawnRework. Please install Lua's mod before using this.

All of my spawn changes are based on the original game(Online), I'm trying to create some online experience/atmosphere in SPT.

Both presets are tested and works well in my game, if you have any issue please report them in the comment section.

:!: Make sure to set AI difficulty and amount to "As Online" in the Pre-raid selection menu.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some differences between my preset and Lua’s default preset:

1: I removed raider waves in irrelevant maps so they will only spawn in Reserve Base, Laboratory, and Lighthouse(Rogue).

2: Each map will no longer spawn all types of bosses but only the specific boss you will find in the original game. (I will post the spawn rate below).

3: Improved PMC and Scav spawn mode so you will find more PMCs fighting each other in the Customs dormitory and Shoreline Sanatorium, this feature works better in the Overhaul option.

4: Console debug enabled, you can check all the spawn points and times for all PMCs, Scavs, and Raiders for the next game. You can also check which map has which boss and their location.

5: Removed Santa. (Sry, Santa is cool, but he’s not necessary.) animestalk

6: I also adjusted the spawn rate to improve the performance, you will be less likely to have glitches and screen freeze during the game.

How to install a preset:

Pick ONE preset, copy and paste the config folder into the Lua-SpawnRework mod folder, and click replace.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Options:

Default: Using SPT default spawn but add several new spawns for PMCs (The default PMC spawn should also work), adjust the spawn chance for Bosses and raiders so you will see them more often in the game.

Overhaul: Using completely custom spawn mode for all AI types, sometimes you will find a PMC squad, and they will more likely to spawn in specific places. Adjust the difficulties of PMCs to make them a little harder to against.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spawn Rates for all Bosses:

  • Reshala: 36%
  • Sanitar: 32%
  • Killa: 35% (I made Killa only spawn in the center of the mall like the old times, to help the player easily locate him and finish the quest.)
  • Tagilla: 19% in the daytime factory, 23% in the night factory
  • Shturman: 29%
  • Knight: 12% in Customs, 15% in Shoreline, 15% in Woods, 19% in Lighthouse
  • Cultist priest(Only Spawn at night): 20% in Customs, 20% in Shoreline, 3% in night factory, 30% in Woods
  • For those of you who can't find sniper Scav in the Overhaul option, I think this is a bug in Lua's Spawn Rework, the sniper wave doesn't work as intended. So if you want to see sniper Scav, please use the default option. animeshyyes

    • This has to do with the missing sniper zones in "scav_map_openzones".

For example, in Customs (bigmap) it's missing the entries:

      ZoneSnipeTower, ZoneSnipeFactory, ZoneSnipeBrige, ZoneBlockPostSniper, ZoneBlockPostSniper3

The "spawn_locations" are correct under "sniper_waves" for each of the maps', but they just need to be copied to each maps' scav_map_openzones.

    • If you successfully modified your files, do you mind sharing them? :)

    • Not at all... but I'm currently re-working the file ... I'm just re-writing a bit of the config now to try and increase PMC's overall, bring the snipers back on all maps, and whatever else I find that I'd like to change. I should have something completed in a few hours, so I'll send once I'm done (Although, I'm not sure how to link files here...). Note that I remove the "impossible" difficulty setting from every single enemy type. That's probably the most significant difference that I'm making. I might bring this back at some point, but I'll be testing bot difficulties and their behaviour at some point.

I did notice something LAn that I don't quite understand.

In your config, you have the following on each of the maps:

      "wave_settings":{

      "scav_waves":{

      "wave_total":0,

From my understanding of the original LUA documentation, the "wave_total" setting is indicative of the amount of waves per raid. Is the above intentional? If so, can you explain it for me? Thanks again.

    • Ok, thanks :)

Sadly, no, I just beginned to check the config files of this mod, so I cannot say what this value do.

      Sorry :/

    • No worries... I was actually messaging LAn (the maker of this config) for that part :). I was looking for an @ tag in here, but seems that this board doesn't have that functionality (or I'm just not seeing it).

      Happy 1
  • whered you find the picture, thats all I wanna know lol

  • It Works in Spt Aki 3.4.0?

  • does this work on 3.3.0?

    ? 2
  • so i was wondering what line do i edit to have more scavs spawn on each wave?

  • Thanks for the mod LAn.

I have a few questions. After playing 2 woods, 5 customs, and 1 factory using your mod, I only saw 1 PMC on factory an nowhere else (not even dead bodies). I didn't go to dorms at all which I know is set to higher PMC spawn rate, but is it intentional to rarely ever see them at the other scav spawn locations? I'm not running any other mods.

I'm not a fan of the way vanilla SPT works with scavs and PMC's spawing in the same place where they just kill each other before I can get there, but I still see PMC's more often in vanilla.

    • Are you using 3.2.5? Lua's Spawn Rework doesn't work on the newest version.

    • I’m using 3.2.4. Is this still an issue?

    • No, then don't modify the bot difficulties and amount in the pre-raid menu, keep them to as-online since Lula's wave only works on this difficulty.

    • Thanks Lan.. I'm starting to understand how the settings work, so I'll work off of your default file to increase the amount of PMC's for each map.

  • If someone use this with the Newest Version (3.2.5)

The spawn mod will not work.. But if you set the " __DEBUG__Generate_bots_on_start" to "True"(in the config) It will work

    • At this point, I don't recommend using this mod on 3.2.5 until Lua updates his mod. but yes, enabling debug will make the code work again.

  • this is really good man thank you very much, also I find the best combination is with Finn ai loader and the hardest preset you find for it in the new release of raid variety, I finally managed to get rid of pmc's and scavs that just stare at you endlessly before shooting and they are now very lethal so that I can die as easy as in the live version ahahah

    • can you share how to get this work with FAIL? I see no difference with FAIL or without FAIL

  • your mod is so excellent!!!!! it makes my SPT experience better

can i translate it into Chinese and share it in Chinese community?

    i will signaturethe original author

    • haha actually I'm about to post my mod in obbda, I'm Chinese too animeokay

  • i have to say it took me 5 times to read this to understand how to use it, but personally this mod has made me feel like im playing the real tarkov again especially on labs, thank you for creating this amazing mod :)

    • Lol sorry for the inconvenience, I was trying to make it easier by setting up the config file for you guys, all you have to do is to put my files in and click replace.

    • yeah its all good just im small brained also i made this account just to thank you for making this insane mod

  • Downloaded it and.. Immediatelly noticed something off

I saw the code and the bosses don't spawn with their followers except for Knight, their values are simply "null"

Is this on purpose? Or a mistake?

    • Different bosses use different follower configs.

For example, if I want to spawn different types of followers, I will use the "support" section to modify them.

But for a simple boss like Reshala, who only has one type of follower, I will use "escort_type" instead and use "escort_amount_min" and "escort_amount_max" to set the number of followers.

    • Ahhhh I see, thanks for clarifying :)
