After you complete Gunsmith quests you need to wait like 12-24 hours before starting the next Gunsmith quest.

What issue did you actually run into with Tarkov Shooter 8? If it was just that you got a "quest failed" message when you went into raid, I think you've misdiagnosed the issue.
There are a bunch of quests that have "left raid" as a failure condition, and I'm almost 100% positive that Tarkov Shooter 8 is now one of those quests (IIRC, other examples include "Escort", "The Guide", and "Huntsman Path Relentless").
The problem is that Tarkov treats the hideout as a weird sort of "raid", so if you enter your hideout and then go straight into an actual raid, it'll see you "leaving" the hideout raid, which triggers the quest's failure condition in SPT.
There are 3 ways to avoid this (and given what you've said, I suspect that you did the second):
1: "Ready" into a raid, and then immediately "Back" out of it. This "unfails" the quest, and puts you back at the menu without you being in a hideout "raid". From there, you can go into a raid without the quest failing.
2: Restart the client, and the go straight into raid without entering the hideout.
3: Modify the quest failure conditions to remove "left raid". Given how this mod works, it would probably be relatively trivial to modify it to do this.

Maybe it's talking about how some quests require you to wait a certain amount of hours before getting the next in that questline, like the gunsmith quests.
