Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

  • Oh thank christ somebody made a mod that lets us loot through objects. Stuff gets stuck inside of things SO MUCH that I can't believe something with this option wasn't made sooner.

    • Honestly I added it because fika doesn't play nice with loot radius anymore. I'd give loot radius a look if you haven't already!

    • I've been running Loot Radius just fine with 3.9.8 plus Fika 9.8995.14684--is it just the newer version of Fika that breaks things?

      Also, the issue with loot radius is that it doesn't really let you grab stuff that's buried in objects due to the decisions made by the developer. The only exception to that is stuff directly below each of your character's feet.

      Your change to allow us to manually grab stuff that's fallen inside other objects is great for those circumstances where we *can't* get our character model's feet close enough to the object.

    • It still works as long as you're hosting. But I use a dedicated client so unfortunately it gets angry :(

    • Yeah, I've been using Loot Radius for ages, but the developer refuses to expose the "through objects" grab radius he attached to the feet to the config so people can extend it. Until this mod, there just wasn't something that let me grab stuff inside of objects that were more than a few inches thick.

      And what issues are you having with Fika and Loot Radius? I've been using the two together with my friends since 3.7 and the only problem we've noticed is that grabbing stuff with Loot Radius doesn't sync with the clients so you can get multiple "copies" of the same item in multiple people's inventories if some are grabbing them via Loot Radius and some are grabbing via the scroll-menu Pickup.

      Did newer versions of Fika introduce even more angst between them?

    • yeah they fixed it so that items are host authoritative. Which means no grabbing items from that panel unless you're host

  • very nice update! I was always wondering if these were a bug or those legal-unobtainable "honeypots" bsg placed to catch cheaters... (if they really exist).

    • For loose loot, it's pretty clear that its a bug--the loot spawns in, and for whatever reason it falls through whatever object it was supposed to spawn on top of, and eventually collides with something lower, which often leaves stuff in places you can't get to it.

      If you're ever able to watch 2-3 people in the same FIKA raid check the same places (e.g. Black room on Labs) the inaccessible items will be slightly different for each of them.

    • Never played coop. But i noticed that sometimes the item-models are there and sometimes not (looked with freecam-mod). My workaround till this update was standing ontop the spot (when there the eliteskilldot is) and than the lootradius-mod was able to pick it up. but some spots like 2,3 in blackkeycard felt like it needed to be almost pixelperfect..

  • Author updated to show support for SPT-AKI 3.8.1. I can NOT get this to work on SPT-AKI 3.8.3. Anyone able to get it to work on 3.8.3?


    EDIT: UPDATE: Works just fine with SPT-AKI 3.8.3 without any other mods installed.

    • The minor patches don't effect client mods usually. Double check you installed the mod properly, the dll should be in your BepinEx/plugins folder

    • Also if you have HandsAreNotBusy can you try without that mod installed, if that is what's conflicting I'll look into a fix.

    • @Mattdokn, So so sorry. It works just fine in 3.8.3 without any other mods installed. I had a few and should have checked before falsely reporting this. Looking at my list, I suspect DeadLeaves - [Leaves ReLooted] - Leaves ReLooted I will add them back in and test and update this if I find the culprit. Again, sorry for jumping the gun. I know better.

  • Would this conflict with anything? It keeps getting over written and the pick up radius is wayyyy lower after the first thing I loot.

  • So fitting. Yesterday had a 20 minute fight with a BitCoin in the Usec camp on Woods because it was stuck behind the sleeping mats and couldn't reach, had to do things you humans couldn't understand for that bitcoin.

    Also, for the people that complain about the mod being a "cheat" when other mods you can literally exploit for infinite money or direct immortality with certain others... get a grip. You don't like the mod? don't install it, it's just that simple.

  • Can you make a mod that can allow you to move around while picking up things? Well, you know, it's kind of weird that a character needs to stop before taking a pack of bullets off the shelf :D

    • I'm not sure. Something kinda related though is I found out how to remove the container opening delay. I'm asking cactuspie if he want's to put it in FastForwardSearch as I don't think it really fits within this mods scope.

    • Removing the closure delay would be even better! - ie. the sound of container closing etc. a good few seconds after I've moved away keeps scaring me as I think its a bot somewhere close...
