Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.

Bringing back the food and drink effects-over-time

UPDATE: Please see Sneaky Weasel's All-In-One Meds & Food for unified version with medical item changes. You can enable different parts of the mod in the config file, so just turn off med changes if you prefer! :)


Changes food and drink to make them less arcadey, for those like me who are missing Realism...

All items now deliver hydration/energy effects over time, rather than instantly.

Many also have multiple uses to reduce litter on the playfield.

  • Hi all. I've tidied up code and fixed the bags issue. Seeing as I also had a similar mod for medical items I've released this as an All-In-One. You can enable different components via config file, if you don't like med changes for example. It's over at Sneaky Weasel's All-In-One Meds & Food


    If possible I recommend changing to that one as it's easier for me to fix issues in one place :) Thanks so much for your feedback and your patience.

  • So, for the time being, i have deleted the mod, its really hard to manage thirst/hunger when you cant eat in hideout, but i will check back later, baseline is good :)

    • Thanks moonfear, not sure if I can have offraid effects without making them available in-raid too but if I figure out a way I shall. I guess I could also add alternatives for offraid but that would be annoying in terms of inventory management, not to mention a little silly (NO, SAUSAGE IS FOR IN-RAID ONLY! haha.)


      My 3.10 setup is zero-to-hero using Path To Tarkov with no offraid regen at all, so this issue hasn't affected me (I just eat up start of the next raid) but I don't aim to be selfish :) so I'll give it some thought.

  • does not work while continuous healing is installed, probably because food is marked as medical (as in comment bellow)

    • Just tested newest version with Continuous Healing mod. All works as intented, all hail the mod creator!

    • Thanks Haro. So if e.g. you have multiple blacked out limbs, can you just hit the CMS/Surv12 once and it will take care of all of 'em? That's cool :)

  • Food says it's not compatible with holodilnicks containers. ;(

    • They go in medical crates tho

    • There seems to be an error with the Parent ID of the food/drink items in this mod: they are set to "5448f3ac4bdc2dce718b4569" which is Medical, instead of Food [5448e8d04bdc2ddf718b4569] or Drink [5448e8d64bdc2dce718b4568].


      However, if you change the parent IDs to the proper food/drink, you are unable to use any food/drink items. There are also several errors in the food/drink items because they contain entries like "medusetime" instead of "foodusetime"

    • Thanks Potato team. Allocating the items to medical via parent ID is deliberate in order to turn items into multi-use. I didn't think about the container implications :)


      I will see if I can tweak holodolinick to hold them.


      If there is a way to make food items multi-use without being instant-effect I'd love to hear it. I am super inexperienced with modding SPT!

    • Thanks for feedback, have updated holodilnick and medical case white/blacklists. V1.0.4 now lets items be stored in the correct bag (and not the wrong case!)

    • Fontaine's Realism mod from 3.9 did a lot of similar stuff to both your med and food changes. Maybe take a look at the source code from that mod to get some ideas?

    • Hey Longstar. I run FIKA and it works on my machine but I haven't tested to see if it syncs to other players; my teammates are rarely around so it could be a couple of weeks before I can fully test.
