Better Headset Descriptions 1.0.0

Adds a headset's stats to their description.

This mod will add the Hearing Range and Ambient Reduction stats of headsets into the item's description.


Why?

I never cared about headsets because I never knew how much they were helping me, or which ones were good. Now you can easily compare the effects of headsets.


I recommend UI Fixes to make the text fit appropriately.


I used the stats found in this thread. Please let me know if anything is inaccurate or updates.

  • For some reason, it doesn't work for me, I don't have anything but it might be because I play on Fika.

    • It is compatible with FIKA. Do you see it getting loaded when you launch the server?

    • Yes it appears to be loaded but in game when I double-click on a headset, there's like no description at all.

    • Sounds like you are looking at a modded headset

    • You think having custom headsets might be breaking the mod ?

    • No, it's that the modded headsets I've seen don't have any description at all. You could added the IDs of any modded headsets to the config file of this mod and it would show up.

  • I love the fact, at least 20+ of my mods installed you would read, get a really odd look on your face like
    "Are you saying.... these.... these things, AREN'T implemented in the game already??" ^^ 

    for example Info on keys, ammo or maybe quests! literally just improving quality of life for so many haha I saw the picture and audibly gasped like ".... I have never thought about this".. I know good/bad headsets but the details on each one? no clue lol thanks!

  • Great mod! As a suggestion, maybe you could put the stats in the headset's name? Like Ammo Stats(Ammo Stats) but with hearing stats.

    • Not a bad idea. I was reading the stats to see how hard it would be to remember, now that I can actually read the distance... I was trying to make an acronym to help etc then I realized

      The Earmor M32 headset. 32 x 2 = 64 meters. I probably got lucky with that one ^^
