I completely forgot about this thread.

It was solved long ago, turns out setting the insurance cost multiplier to 0 prevented things from being insured because money HAS to be paid.

I fixed my issue. Turns out you can't set the price to zero, that makes it not work. So I just set the modifier to a ridiculously low price.

I have the AKI Configurator and the AllInOne mod from Ereshkigal. Together they have options to allow that, along with a tweak to allow Insurance to work in Labs.

It's moot at this stage though until I can figure out why I can't insure, and given the OP has no mods but has insurance problems makes me think it may be another reason.

I can't insure items either, though I don't get crashing. I've set my insurance to cost nothing and have maximum return chance.

Get the Trader Fix, Traders are bugged.

I haven't been able to insure any of my starting gear, nor a new rig I managed to pull from a Raid I went into uninsured.

Using AIO and the Configurator, I have supposedly set insurance prices to zero, and insurance chances to maximum, so that, should I die, I don't lose anything of consequence, for a more casual experience.

However, attempting to insure anything leads to a text box saying 'Item is unavailable for insurance.'

What is causing this and what is the solution?

The patcher isn't updated either.
