Custom Faction: US Army

Migration in Progress: We are currently migrating the Hub to read-only mode as we transition to our new platform, The Forge. During this process, you may experience intermittent access or limited functionality on the Hub. Once complete, all new activity should take place on The Forge. We appreciate your patience while we complete this migration and look forward to seeing you at forge.sp-tarkov.com.

These guys took some effort, but I'm pleased to present my USEC Tier 3s, the United States Army :kannatiredofthis:

I kept the USEC patches as a stand-in for a Western security force like NATO. I had to redo their M4A1s and give them the M16A4, which was very time consuming due to the modular nature of the Armalite platform. After a few days of keyboard-to-head contact, I feel confident in my ability to pass around most guns in the game, including modded ones, as long as I assemble a parts list first.

BTW I haven't yet asked Fontaine for permission to release these guys onto the workshop as it's all based on his loadout files, but I would present it as a tweak for Realism Mod that requires multiple clothing and gear packs to function without errors. I knew people would wanna use them, but they're set up with my mod list in mind >w<

  • Is there a way to go about making these custom factions without using Realism? Would love to do what youre doing but I dont feel like running Realism.

    • Yes. All of SPT's bot loadout files are in SPT-Data/Server/database/bots/types, but I recommend you back up the types folder first. Then you find USEC or whoever you'd like to modify and have fun pog

    • Thanks! If I have any questions, do you mind if I DM you if I have any questions?

    • I don't mind.

  • thats huge man, but is it hard to make this kind of groupes? u have some mod 4 it? animehappyhop

    • For my method, I went into user/mods/SPT-Realism/db/bots/PMCs and edited the categories for tops, bottoms, helmets, armor, rigs, etc for each of the 4 tiers.

It's a little time consuming, so I see people ask modders how to add custom weapons directly to bots for instance, and they get told "it's not for users." I might have to produce a video tutorial because I wanna see what other people do.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • yeah it would be great! bugcatdrunk bugcatchillin

  • I have tried to adjust their loadouts too, it took me a long time to make them carry specific gear.
