Medical Specials 2.0.8

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Meds in your special slots? Duh? Other Special Slot Mods felt like cheating. Being able to carry 4 backpacks and what not is a little ridiculous. This felt more realistic as I run it with Realism.

This is my very first mod, so if there are errors please let me know. Open to feedback, both positive and negative.


I created this mod to make all healing/injector items fit into special slots. I loved the mod "Special Slots" by jbs4bmx. But it felt too much like cheating as I could carry 4 backpacks, rigs, armors, etc. Never-the-less the mod is inspired by him so go check his version out too. Jbs4bmx - Special Slots. I use this mod with Realism so being able to store meds in your special slots (as well as an injector case) made more sense to me. Keeps me honest lol I hope all others enjoy as well. I have updated this mod to also be compatible with GoblinKing meds and the Medical SICC (MICC) Case.


I run this mod with 35 other mods so it SHOULD in theory be compatible with every mod EXCEPT those that also change special slot parameters.


P.s. just got note this still works with 3.7.2. I haven't had any time to update the client version so you may have to change that for it to not show as outdated.

  • Works in 3.8.* You don't even have to change anything.

  • Still works in 3.8.0, just update the version number in the .json

    • did not work for me I wasnt able to put any meds in the slots

    • Weird, all I did was update this line: "akiVersion": "3.8.0", from 3.somethin or other and that did the trick

    • So i figured it out by just messing around with the code. Just add it to mod.js where ever you want. I personally put it under the cases part of the code.

    • Yeah please do, i keep having to re-change the code. I know nothing about coding so youll definitely do a better job at it then me!

  • I think the mod should be limited to only single slot medical items. Maybe add a config for it. Nice idea though

    • This can be done with my JTK mod's tool that edits equipment slot filters.

  • For whatever reason, i can't get this mod to work with 3.5.5. Not sure whats wrong, server console said the mod was loaded and I haven't received any errors

    • weird. It works for me. What other mods do you have installed?

    • ive got a pretty solid list. what i assume the conflict to be would be using the custom pockets addition in SVM?

    • yes. I would assume that's the problem. Try temporarily disabling SVM to see if that fixed the problem. If it does I would recommend moving the mod to before and after SVM in the load order file to see if that fixes it

  • Eh, this is a great QOL mod, but being able to slot a Grizzly in a special slot is kinda op.


    Is it possible to limit what meds can be put into the special slot? Say only single slot meds can be put there - including the injector case.

    Commenting out Grizzly Medkit still allowed me to put it in the special slot... This works in mysterious ways...

  • I tried to put custom meds from Goblin King into the slots, but they don't seem to work. Is there a way for me to get custom meds to work with this mod?

    • You said the goblin meds?

      Which meds in specific from the goblin king

    • The Abuelo's lightning juice injector and Goblin ifak, I haven't tried the Tryhard potion injector yet but I'm guessing that it won't work either.
