7.62x51mm NATO Depleted Uranium Discarding Sabot cartridge. What more do I have to say?

Adds in a new cartridge chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. Higher tier than M993, providing better armor piercing, damage, and insane velocity at the cost of a slight recoil increase and prohibitive expense. Sold at Peacekeeper 4 for $97 a pop.


For maximum Cold War gone spicy hot vibes I'd stick these hush puppies in Massivesoft's M14 mod.


Bit of a meme and a rather underwhelming for the cost as I was bored while watching Oxide's recent videos on said round. Price, trade level, and stats are configurable so have fun making it actually balanced.

  • Can you increase the damage to 70? Because it can headshot most bosses with one shot

    • feel free to change "damage": 70, in config.json.

      If you want to headshot one shot bosses you're gonna need something bigger than 70 because of helmets

  • Does this mod automatically place this ammo in the loot or on the bot loadouts? As you can imagine I don't prefer to get shot by this ammo.

  • I noticed you used the wrong atributes in your mod.ts for accuracy and recoil

    You need to use these instead

    dudsItem._props.ammoAccr = config.accuracy;

    dudsItem._props.ammoRec = config.recoil;

    Otherwise the changes in config won't do anything

    I added it, but it doesn't seem to be reflected.

    • Try adding it to mod.ts, seems like the config is using a different method to push the values than the usual item.json format.

    • I haven't tested it but its basic enough that it shouldn't be a problem. You're going to have to manually balance it though

    • Yeah, it works. I just changed pen to 115 and damage to 140 which seems accurately balanced.

  • I wonder if you make the bullet glow in the dark, does it function as a tracer round. :/

  • The only unfortunate part is it missing the characteristic sparks and potentially blowing up in your face when you fire it.

    • ig the small fragmentation effect tarkov has is the closest thing to that. I think it would be cool to see that implemented

    • It does spark when striking a hard surface though not as dramatically as I would have liked since its limited to effects the game already has for other bullets. It probably wouldn't be too hard to make a custom effect but its a lot of effort for pretty much a meme.

    • You could always use the effect from the star shell "5d6e6911a4b9361bd5780d52" as a cope, but that seems to be abit too bright and of the wrong color.
