Parent IDs Fixer 1.0.3

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Fixes stupid BSG incorrect parent IDs

I'll look into updating my mods when website stops fking dying





Fixes _parent value of some guns and items.
for example, _parent of AG 545 is assault rifle instead of assault carbine

This fixes internal inconsistencies in BSG database.

  • the MP-18 counts for Tarkov Shooter/SBIH on live and SPT so perhaps it should be in the sniper category?

    • The goal of this mod is to align internal category id with what displayed in handbook and wiki.

      As example, Lone Star is listead as assault carbine absolutely everywhere. Except internally, where it's listed as assault rifle.

      Mp-18 is listed as shotgun everywhere therefore there's nothing to fix

  • The VPO-209 is actually considered a "Shotgun" in russia since it's smoothbore, i believe they made it like that so it's more accessible, since getting a shotgun license in russia is easier than getting a rifle one.


    Same with the MP-18, it's smoothbore hence why it's in the shotgun category.

    • I don't really care what it is tbh, I just need weapon categories to match what's said in handbook and wiki :P

    • It won't. It's a very slight thing that has close to 0 impact on game or mods.

    • It might affect quests where conditions specify the AssultCarbine/Rifle class of weapons.
