if you use questing bots, make sure to keep your main menu fps below 320, or it will take forever to generate bots in load screen
Mattdokn Author
I'm considering putting out an update that just lowers the limit to 170

Thanks for this, works great! Now I don't have to enable v-sync in-game to get uncapped (144) framerate in the menus, in which i spend 50% of my game time.

This mod is amazing! although changing the max lobby framerate causes unpredicted issues with the game. Setting the slider to the right for me directly causes loading loot pools go from instantly, to twelve minutes. I have NO idea why this issue happens. There are other issues I have theorized to be this mods fault but I cannot blame it without proof. To test this I tried with and without the mod installed. I have not determined if this is the result of a mod conflict but I have determined this IS the mod causing the conflict. As well this could be a localized problem for just me. The mod simply being installed is not the issue though. Once you change the framerate is where the issue starts.
I love the mod though. I REALLY wish I could keep this since max fps lobby screen is something I can never go back from. The lobby is just so unclean at 60 fps, I feel physically dirty using such an inferior framerate.

I would run furmark and the cpu, memory, and power tests from OCCT. All free software that can let you know if your hardware is having issues. This sounds like a computer issue unfortunately. Try running the game with vsync on + reflex to see if you encounter the same issue.

I directly edited the aki server files to allow for 144 fps lobbies and the issue is gone. Weird that only myself had this issue and doing the same thing without the mod doesn't cause an issue...
I went into the files and changed these settings. Changing these doesn't cause a long loot pool loading time.
"FramerateLimit": {
"MinFramerateLimit": 30,
"MaxFramerateLobbyLimit": 144,
"MaxFramerateGameLimit": 144

those are the same settings this mod changes lol. Not sure why you were experiencing those issues either.

I was also having this issue, I got really annoyed with my raid times so i just slowly added my mods to the game booting raids each time until this one did it. I also found out that it only causes the person running the spt server exe to do it since none of my friends had the issue on my fika server, only me. If I could get the name of the file that was modified so I can do the same thing that would be greatly appreciated. (did some testing, apparently changing the config to your monitors refresh rate fixes the problem as well)

It's a fika incompatibility, lower it to 144 and it'll work. I just started playing fika last week so I didn't know until then. 144 has been working for me and my friend so far
Maru
Thank you exactly what im lookin for
VirtualHex
This is excellent. Doesn't matter much in raid but the menus and stash feel buttery smooth! Thanks for this.

I couldn't get this to work for a few days for some reason but I just loaded up SPT and it's fully functional atm...Literally fixes most of my weird FPS stutters/hitches and I have no idea why. My mouse movements are SO much more smooth and it makes running horde runs a lot less of an FPS dragging pain in the ass, absolutely crucial to experiencing a smoother game. Would highly recommend even if you don't think it'll make a difference cause I didn't think it would but my game is smooth as butter atm big thanks!

Even if this isn't a performance booster, this makes the main menu feel far more smoother thanks to this mod. Thanks so much

didn't work with swag = donuts
dont know why... version 3.7.5
Mattdokn Author
Gonna need more than that. What behavior were you expecting? Did you verify in settings that the fps slider max was as it is in vanilla. Did you try removing swag+donuts to see if that fixed it?
I've had no issues running both mods on 3.7.6
SIlence.Poki
Tried removing swag+donuts no different the fps was quite high because there are npc's and scavs around.. what's weird i didn't see any error message at all..
By the way, I set the FPS to 144 and no more
Just after I deleted the mod and reinstalled the swag+doughnuts everything worked again as usual
really odd

The mod doesnt change performance at all. It just allows you to set the limit to whatever you want.
If you open the console using ~ and enter "fps 1" it will show the fps limit you have set.
Maddog Matt
Yeah i would exercise caution with using this. Do not set it to some crazy high number for the lobby/stash FPS as that could potentially damage your GPU. Ie: Do not give yourself a 1000 FPS stash just because you can.
Many games in the past that had unlocked FPS cut scenes etc have killed GPUs that had hidden faults that were fine during normal gaming. D4 to name one recent example. As someone who builds and fixes PCs for many years i have seen it happen. It is rare but it sux big time when it happens to you.
Mattdokn Author
It's always been a rare hardware defect from what I've heard but I'll go ahead and lower the default limit to 360 in the next patch.
Starkinator
So keep the lobby / stash fps to normal number but you can crank the inraid up ?
Mattdokn Author
Hes saying dont set stash fps to something dumb. It wont hurt your pc but hes warning that if you have a fucked up graphics card already this could push it too far. Plenty of games have uncapped fps though so odds are you're fine to do what you want.
I suggest setting your stash fps limit to something like 165 or whatever your monitors refresh rate it.
In raid you can do whatever
rgrbeattie
But why would anyone set the fps higher than their monitors refresh rate?
If you have G-Sync monitor and use Nvidia reflex on EFT settings you should not really need this mod.
Mattdokn Author
Input lag goes down the higher your fps is, regardless of your monitor's refresh rate. Above 90-120 though you likely don't feel any difference if you're locked to a 60hz monitor.
I first noticed input lag on 60hz when I was playing rocket league on my laptop as a kid. My monitor was 60 but getting anything under 75ish fps felt much worse in terms of how mushy the controls felt.
Also personal opinion, I would rather not use reflex and just have the game render more frames for me normally. Also unlocks the framerate for AMD users who dont have access to reflex.
Starkinator
You are a legend for this.
Guthor
Always wanted to stress out your GPU to render a picture at 4000 FPS? Always thought "Damn my GPU is still alive? I want it do die faster!"?
Then FPS UNLOCKER is the mod for you! No more looking at a 60 FPS locked picture, now you can enjoy that still image at 4000 FPS, all while making your GPU suffer, because why not!
Mattdokn Author
I gotta get some coil whine going before my warranty runs out!!
jokes aside I just set my stash fps limit to 165, makes the mouse feel so much better
Joizz
WAIT THERES A FRAME LIMIT
Mattdokn Author
Lol this mod really is only useful when youre in the stash huh, maybe factory too if youre lucky
PotatoAim
Great, unlock the framerate to 5000 in the stash, but still stuck at 40 on Streets.
Devraccoon
@PotatoAim I set mine to 1000. I can barely ever reach 2/10th anywhere... bless Nikita for his broken ass game
