Average Custom Traders Price 0.0.2

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

This mod average the buy price of custom traders (like lotus or Scorpion) based on other traders.

Usually you need this when you are using SVM / Realism or other mods.

Default compatibility

lotus

Scorpion

If you need to apply to more traders, you can add the trader id in the config.json

Let me know if you have ideas that can make this mod better!

  • Version 0.0.2

Add a config to multiple traders.

    Default: "lotus","Scorpion"

  • Version 0.0.1

    Initial commit

If there's any issue feel free to leave a comment.

  • edit: I added it to the hub here. I will remove it when Robin updates.

i updated this to 3.9, and added some additional functionality + some pretty logging so you can see what was actually done. It allows for you to set a discount (makes the traders buy items for less, by a percentage of the averaged values from the other traders).

If robin wants to use any of it, he's welcome to, though for now it works just fine :). Consider this explicit permission to literally upload it directly, as 0.0.3, if you want to.

  • Hey not sure if you looking forward to upgrade this to 3.9 but i def would love to use it again! was nice to have!

  • Do you have the item ID's handy for scorpion, lotus, MFAC (Alice), or Artem?

I am having trouble locating them for another mod and figured based on the functionality of this mod you may have them on a short list

  • Good one, price balance is always concerning when I want more quests.

  • Scorpion is in Beta and is subject to change. The buy price coef is already adjusted to be in line with other traders as of the latest update - and is planned to automatically detect and adjust based on Realism configs.

It would be worth asking the original trader authors before creating mods that specifically impact them, we don't want to be making changes that break other mods since we not aware of them touching the original.

  • Is it possible to add a multiplier to change the different traders Sell price for the items they sell as a feature also??

    • You may want to use SVM instead. I believe it can modify this

    • It does but not custom traders. Just pitching it as a possible feature. If its not possible its all good just thought it would be a great addition

    • Got you. I didn't test this.

It's a good suggestion but I need some time to figure out why not working.

      Thanks mate.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • go into the base.js located in the db folder on each trader and look for the "buy_price_coef" the higher the number the lower the price i believe

    • It changes the price of the item you are selling

  • Is it possible to add a price multiplier to the config?
I really wanted to find a mod that has a function to equalize prices between all traders and increase the prices of all traders

    • Basically you can use SVM to modify all stock traders, and use this mod to equalize all custom traders based on the stock price.

Let me know if it's not the case.

    • I just set the price increase to 10x, but traders "lotus, Scorpion" did not change the price

    • Be sure to make this mod load after SVM.

      I'll test it ASAP.

  • Artem, Hideout Harry, Painter, & Priscilu are more popular traders if you wish to add some more compatibility. Also, what are your thoughts on slightly favoring one trader over another? Like how some items are better to sell to Prapor than Therapist or vice versa. Just food for thought. Overall, keep up the great work!

    • Thanks for the tips! I appreciate it!

I do think it's fun to compare between different traders for higher selling price.

How about add some randomness when start SPT server, just like realism did.

  • Damn, i struggled with this
Any way to extend this to Scorpion anr\or any custom trader?

    • It's easy to do so.

I might upload a new version to let you config it.

You will just need a trader id and put it in the config.

    • Would be cool, thanks!
I already fucked up all my prices trying to achieve this with config files

    • You can try it with 0.0.2 version bro

    • This mod doesn't work for me for some reason. Are you changing trader prices trough SVM?
