INVENTORY ORGANIZING FEATURES 3.9.0 1.0.1

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Adds several inventory organizing features which rely on item tags, such as sort locking, move locking and container organizing. Also adds a button to take out all the items from a container.

THIS IS A QUICK FIX FOR THE MOD.
IF NIGHTINGALE OR ANY CONTRIBUTOR WANTS; I WILL TAKE IT DOWN NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

DeadLeaves updated the original mod to 3.8.3: Click!
Yume added recursive container sort: Click!
Meepowski updated the mod to support 3.9.0: Click!

To install drop the .dll file into the \BepInEx\plugins folder.

See full documentation and explanation of all the features here: Inventory Organizing Features

Remember to go there and thank Nightingale!
They did all the hard work.

Very little support will be provided. But if you get any errors, post them in the comments and I'll see if there is anything that can be done.

  • Can you please conduct the test in Chinese?

I found that the command '@ n:' does not work properly in a Chinese environment

In the Chinese environment, the "@ n:" command can only recognize the first Chinese character

For example, an item called "肥皂" can be recognized if only "肥" is entered, but cannot be recognized if "肥皂" is entered

I don't know if my expression is accurate, this paragraph was completed by a translation software

    • I have identified the cause of the problem,It's because it's incompatible with other mods

  • Have been getting a lot of errors spammed with this: "[OOB] for item: 57e319a8094130050b052ac3; Error message: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'fill')"

    item ID being one of my Containers that i have @ml and @o Barter items;
sometimes they also stop working when I click the button to sort items into them.
    not sure why.

I hope this helps if you are doing any bug fixing on this but if not I hope it helps someone else

  • would be really cool if ya'll added the ability to tag anything so we could tag bags/rigs to work with these features as well. I don't know the technical aspect but just thought I'd throw it out there:)

    • I really want this also. This would be so convenient for backpacks. I made an account just to comment this.

  • Hi maybe worth mentioning, the UI is bugged for me, the X sits outside of the window like it doesn't adapt to fit the new UI elements in.. am I maybe missing a mod dependency or something?

    • seems like it's happening only when the container selected has a window too small to fit all the newly added buttons. I would assume it probably would require some extra tinkering by the modmakers that they haven't done for it to add extra space or something

  • Just wondering if i need to do anything special to make recursive sorting work?

I have a SICC item case with medical, magazine and ammo cases.

SICC item case and all cases inside have been tagged with @o.

When I hit the sort icon in the inventory, nothing goes into any of the cases inside of the SICC case.

    Am i doing something wrong?

    • As far as I'm aware, there's no recursive sorting - you need to open each container which also has organizer-tagged containers inside of it and hit the sort button on that particular container's UI.

    • A comment made by Yume shows a video with recursive sorting in these comments.

In the overview of the current version of the mod:

      Quote

Yume added recursive container sort: Click!

So the feature is there, just not sure if its broken or I am doing something wrong.

    • The recursive function requires at least one empty cell in the parent container that can accommodate the maximum volume item to be transferred before it can be used

  • Might be too much of an ask, but is there a way to blacklist items in a container from being used to auto-fulfil quests, barters & crafts? Otherwise I might just not understand hard and soft lock properly...

  • I'm not sure if it's just me but I'm getting this at startup and the sort lock is broken and this is after a fresh install

Mod: (Inventory-Organizing-Features-main-390) is missing a package.json. Make sure you have checked the mods hub page for install instructions

    • bump

@sl sort lock also not working, but I didn't receive any error messages. Everything else seems to be working fine.

    • Seems to be ralated to UI Fixes recent update... stay on UI Fixes Version 2.1.1 for now.
Once you see a mention of compatibility fix for IOF in the changelog you should be safe to update UI Fixes mod :)

      Thumbs Up 1
    • They just updated it now

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Any chance someone can make an auto sort config that sorts loose items (not put them into containers) but locks all case and containers in place when auto sorting but still allow me to manually move them please thanks

    • Add tag @sl to your containers and that should do it I believe. Unless I misunderstood what you meant :)

    • yes this is what I wanted thanks

      Thumbs Up 1
    • just so you know UI fixes just added this to their most recent update too.

  • This mod is great. Speeds everything up after a raid.

  • What is recursive container sort?

Just wondering if it's Containers being inside containers still being able to be sorted by their parameters. Like med case inside a Thicc case. Would be a really nice feature if possible

    • It's something @Yume implemented, you can find their comment here:

I updated this mod to work with containers inside other containers. So you can have i.e. mag cases with @o inside item case (also with @o) and mags from outside of item case will end up inside mag cases inside item case. There is a video demonstration by stackle: https://streamable.com/urw3pb

    • Oh that is awesome, I love this mod even more.

      Thank you @Yume

All the love to the contributers <3

  • Im getting the server side down some i think, but i can't wait to start learning more about how to create client side mods. I have read a lot of the Documentation area so far, but haven't really tried to start making something. kinda don't know where the libraries are tbh.

anyway thanks for the update, i am sure if you add this will only be up till the official post is updated you should be okay i would think.

  • Thanks for updating this and rehosting it on GitHub <3
