Wolfik's Heavy Trooper Masks - Reupload 1.0.7

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.

Adds 5 new heavy trooper masks (Black, Tan, Black/Coyote, Wolf, and Cult ) that actually provide protection

This is a re-upload of an older mod that I really liked, so I rewrote an updated version of the mod that now works on SPT 3.9.0, 3.9.1, and 3.9.2. I DO NOT own any of this material as this mod was originally created by SerWolfik.

Adds 5 new Heavy trooper masks (Black, Tan, Black/Coyote, custom designed black and Cult variants)


Available Trooper Masks

Black and TAN - Class 4 armor with max durability 50. Available at level 3 Peacekeeper for 1500 dollars.

Black+Coyote - Class 4 armor with max durability 80. Available at level 3 Peacekeeper for 1700 dollars.

WOLF - Class 5 armor, with max durability 80. Available at level 4 Peacekeeper for 4000 dollars

CULT - Class 5 armor, with max durability 90. Available only at flea.


All Masks can also be found in raid in loot containers

How To Install

Open the downloaded zip file then drag and drop the 'user' folder into your SPT directory

    • Added compatibility with a few mods that add custom helmets and nvgs:
      • Tactical Gear Component (helmets)
      • Artem (helmets and nvgs)
      • Atlas Custom Weapons & Equipment (nvgs)
    • Wendy helmets are now compatible with all heavy trooper masks
    • Fixed coyote heavy trooper from not being able to be slotted in helmets

    • Reduced chance of finding heavy trooper masks as they were spawning way more than intended in loot pools.
    • Added Config file which contains all the loot pool probabilities for each heavy trooper mask, all values can be changed and disabled for each loot container if desired.

    • Added chance to find all heavy trooper masks in weapon boxes, wooden crates, duffle bags, and ground caches on all maps.
      • Cult and Wolf masks are much more rarer than the Black, Coyote, and Tan as they are higher armour class.

    If the Tan Heavy Trooper Mask is still not Tan skinned, you must clear your temp files in the SPT Launcher settings. This will fix it.

  • I keep getting stuck on Loading Bundle 2069/2074 assets/content/heavytan.bundle. There aren't any errors in the server console, and am on 3.10

  • Is there a way to change the armor tier of the masks?

    • All mask info is stored in db/templates/items.json, there you can change the "armorClass" for each mask.

    • The folder MUST be named "zSerWolfik-Heavy-Troopers" to help with load order or else mod compatibility won't work. I need to see someones error message to understand why the error is occuring (nvm found the reason)

  • Pretty much my go to facemask! Just a suggestion for more ways to improve the mod, Is there any chance to make helmet counterparts that are similar patterns that are also compatible with the masks? Pretty much same helms as current, just higher dura, higher lv & maybe reskinned to be similar to the masks?

    • Yeah I'll look into lowering the probabilities, I'll probably add a config setting so people can raise or lower probabilities for how they want them.

  • Hi, I noticed that the new masks do not work with MoxoPixel's GREEN and WHITE CORE mods while trying to make a Mando helmet. Any chance that could be in a future update?

    • In the future I'll add some form of compatibility, but as of now its not high on my list of things I'm working on.

  • All Trooper masks seem to be added at level 1 for me, any way to fix this?

    • Yeah I checked the trader assort and they are set to loyalty lvl 1 by default, I'll push an update fixing that.

  • on the masks (only checked cult, i assume others) I can only put on the default gpnvg18, not colored ones like the OD one

    • I'm not sure what you mean by 'OD one'. Is this an item added by another mod as there is only one GPNVG in base tarkov.

    • ATLAS adds a GPNV as well as the colourCORE mods I believe. I noticed the same issue.

  • Just a heads up but it seems like the Tan mask is using the Wolf mask skin instead of the tan one. You might want to check your file structure and/or the bundles themself to make sure its pathing correctly.

    • I see, you are right. That prefab got mixed up for some reason. This item structure was copied exactly how the original mod designed it, but I'll release a fix to correct this.

    • I am not that person, I have not seen an updated version of this mod on the hub so I thought id fix the mod and upload
