Arisaka Offset Optic Mount 1.0.3

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

A MUCH cleaner offset sight mount. Another one of my autistic thoughts that I unfortunately made a reality.

THIS IS BUILT ON GROOVEYPENGUIN FROM W.T.T.'S CODE! ALL CODING CREDIT GOES TO HIM AND THE WTT TEAM!

Due to this being based on his code, if he wants to removed I'll do so.


This is the Arisaka offset sight mount. It is a 35-45 degree angle optic mount that I liked and thought looked a whole lot cleaner than the current NcSTAR MPR45 offset mount. This will fit anywhere that will.

The whole thing is split into 5 pieces, 1 base mount and 4 optic mounts. All can be bought for cheap from Delta lvl1.

INSTRUCTIONS:

You get the base mount, then get a plate, then throw the compatible optic on top of it.


Plate Mounts + Optics listed below

Acro Plate- Can equip the ACRO P-1 optic

Docter Plate- Can equip the Burris Fastfire III optic

Micro Plate- Can equip the Aimpoint T1 + H2 as well as the SIG Romeo4 optic

ShieldRMS Plate- Can equip the Leupold DeltaPoint optic

  • Went to edit the color of the Doctor plate (shows bright white on my screen) to be darker and couldn't find the texture. How might I edit that?

    • How are you trying to do it?

    • Well I was hoping to locate some texture maps in the mod files, but I didn't see anything that looked familiar. What would you suggest me to take a look at first?

    • You're not going to find that just outright in the files. They're packaged within the bundles. I'll take a look at it when I'm able to and see if I can fix the issue.

    • I appreciate it. I try to fix my own problems, but doesn't always work out.

  • Could you just reorganize the download zip to conform to the standard used by most mods? Makes using a mod manager or installer easier as the current structure messes with that. Great mod thanks for creating it.

    • That way you can just extract the mod into the root directory of the SPT install and it puts itself in the correct place every time

  • I'm having trouble with the icon being stuck with the cyclical loading icon, then in-raid, the mount itself is textureless. Could be just a bad install?

    • Same issue, commenting in case you guys find a fix.

    • Same here. Tried reloading mod and clearing temp files to no avail. Load order also doesn't seem to matter, but this is the only item mod that I'm having this issue with.

    • I'm aware of this and looking into it.

    • Same here. Plus in the raid there are no textures on the mount (just glowing color) same the plates

    • Love the mod, thank you for that, nice work! I also have the issue with the icon not loading, ingame, the texture of the mount is white, the plates are normal....

  • What is the T1 Style red dot on the photo (2)? Its different from the T1 I have on my game :)

    • Just the base game T1, I didn't change anything with the actual optic

  • hey so i realized while modding out an SVDS, the mount isnt possible to be put on the sag mk1 chassis, i dont know if this is unintended or not just letting you know

  • Can you make this able to be attached on rear sight?

    For a closer offset sight.

    • I'm currently into another project, however, that was something I thought of. I might dive into that after and see what comes of it.

  • Would it be possible to make a Set of Offset Iron Sights ?

    Or make it able to put the Mount into the Slots for the Iron Sights and then mount a MBUS on them?

    • No, the mount plates are specific to the optics.

    • Too bad.

      Would be handy for a Thermal Setup to have Scope and Sights.

  • Doesn't seem to fit everywhere MPR45 does.
    SPEAR (not default one, nor Black version from Painter, nor 7.62x51 version from EpicRangeTime).

    Some default handguards for M4 like AR-15 KAS RIS, STM handguards, URX 3, AX-15, etc.

    AR-10 Noveske SWS N6 Split Handguard (gos onto SR-25).
    Probably something else, that's just what I had patience to test)

    • I realized that last night. It's due to some name differences, that's my priority today is to get those added. Hoping it won't take too long. Sorry about that!!

    • At first it was less than MPR45, but now it's in more places, than MPR45 :D

      The handguard is, I think, from GreenCore, but with not Green base version it's the same)
      And you can create the same type of monstrosity with some other handguards, like M4's VYPR 10" or STMs)
      But not sure if you should fix it, it kinda looks fun)
      The lower one is not functional though. But with M4 STM handguard you can put on the left side and use it.

    • I added it to the slots as I had seen the MPR45 was, that was definitely unforseen.
