Invisibility Cloak 3.9.3.2

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X

Ever wonder if Harry Potter could have used his Dad's cloak in more fun ways? Maybe you want to hunt Killa and watch him run aimlessly while you gun him down :kekw: Or maybe you need some of those pesky bolt-action kills: If you want to be heard but not seen, this is the mod for you!


Enemies will not see you, will not shoot you, and will simply run away when shot, completely unaware who or what shot them.


To install, copy the DLL into your '\Escape From Tarkov\BepInEx\plugins\' folder and start the game.

You will be invisible by default - which can be turned off by using the in-game tilde (`) command 'invisible_off'

  • An option for the character to visibly become invisible would be awesome (arms, body,...) for the vr mod incoming

  • Hey, this is super cool! Never seen a mod concept like this before, very neat to mess around with.


    Seeing this made me wonder how realistic it would be to implement some functionality that would make it into a gameplay tool kind of like the Spy's Invis Watch from TF2? Where you could have a meter that depletes with usage (maybe 12-15 seconds?) and recharges in downtime, and could use it to slip past some enemies invisibly and silently and get behind them for a surprise attack?


    I don't mean to be demanding - this is really well done as-is!

    • The UI for that and most of the functionality is already done in another mod called ATs Nanosuit. Just would need to make it work with invisibility but I think putting the two together would be a great thing.


      If you wanted to implement that, you'd also need to proactively wipe the enemy list from the memory of all bots every time you press the button, but that's not a lot of coding. I have no plans to include a HUD with this addon.

  • GoalEnemy is set by other means as well, not just AddEnemy from MemoryClass. That is why you got people reporting they stil end up been seen

    • You're correct - seems the BotsGroup class has another 'AddEnemy()' function. I'll update that tonight and release a new version. Will test on the Goons if I'm lucky enough to run into them :)

  • I have installed this and run two raids on Ground Zero. For the most part, the enemies completely ignore me. Unfortunately both raids I did end up being fired upon, the second time leading to my untimely death... Not sure what is happening, both times I have fired, but not at whatever has killed me.

    • I'm updating the code tonight with an update that may fix this. Do you know what fired on you, was it a boss/guard that killed you? Also, if you turn invisibility off, and then back on, the 'memory' of the bots isn't erased (I could but that would be extra code) so they will still have memory of you (aka they'll see you) so try and keep invisible the whole game and see if you still get fired on?

    • v3.9.3.2 released which should fix this issue. I've tested against Goons and on GroundZero and I do not get attacked or seen. Mind you that you are invisible, but not invulnerable - if you stand in the line of fire then bullets can still kill you.

  • A new way to play has appeared, and I think it's very interesting! Do you allow me to share it on the Oddba Tarkov Chinese forum? Maybe they prefer this mod to make the AI blind hahaha :D

    • oh i know, but for some reason after i killed a pmc outside of crack house, knight had popped out of the side door above the stairs and just shot me, no other enemy around me but sweet ill update

  • possible to add a way to change the keybind in the f12 menu?

    • I have no plans to add a keybind because I typically don't turn it on or off that often, but it should be trivial to update the code to add a keybind.

  • I try to download the Version 3.9.3 and i recive a 404 error "Page not found"

    • 3.9.3 was renamed to 3.9.3.0 - I've now updated the link. Please consider whether you want 3.9.3.0 or 3.9.3.1, but both links should now work.

  • Loving this mod, had to reset my save a couple days ago so this made the grind back to 15 a breeze. Will there be a toggle added to the F12 menu in the future?

    • I'll have a gander at this today and see if I can get this implemented in the short term. There's been more downloads than I expected so adding a QOL feature is probably warranted.

  • So this mod make my character invisible. But the Bots can still hear me? like walking jumping sound?

    • The bots will hear you and they may look in your direction, but they can't target you and won't shoot at you. If you shoot them, they will simply run away because they can't target you to shoot back.

    • Well. I thought this mod might be useful for me. I record npcs video with another mod requires me to be near them so if this also eliminate the sound would be more useful

    • Maybe the the Freecam will answer your need
