Coyote Trader (3.9.X Update) 1.0.1

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Do you think Ground Zero and Labs need more quests? Do you use Narcotic's PTT config and Realism, and find yourself constantly on GZ? Then this is the trader for you!

An update to Coyote to 3.9.X, including (hopefully) fixing the quests to work on the new Ground Zero High Level (sandbox_high).


Let me know if there's any bugs and I'll try to squash them.


Installation follows the normal way, drag the user file in, make sure you download VCQL from the dependencies.

  • I cannot unlock the trader? I have done quests for Skier, but he does not unlock

    • Have you done the new quest "Elusive Criminal" for Skier? That's the one that unlocks Coyote.

    • I am level 10 and he has still not given me the quest. I used a brand new account after installing the mod.

      edit : the concept of a gz / labs specific quest giver is too good to miss lol i am willing to do anything to get this working

    • ok....(embarassing) idk if the other commenter is having the same issue....i was only dragging the 'coyote' file and not the quest loader file in the zip - because 'i already have that mod' - my stupid ass didnt consider that the quests were added there. sorry for wasting time.

  • i have already done the burning rubber quest but I still cannot unlock him any tips?

    • Have you done the new quest "Elusive Criminal" for Skier? That's the one that unlocks Coyote.

    • No i havent but its not showing. However I am on a account thats lvl 52 and about 3/4 done with the main game quest line should I try on a fresh account?

    • Did you download Virtual's Custom Quest Loader? You need to download both the full mod, and then also copy across the folder from this one to add Coyote's quests to it.

  • ive searched a fair bit, but am unable to find the utility room on GZ - any help?

    • The utility room is down at the entrance to the underground by the ramp. If you don't have it, I'd suggest Dynamic Maps as a mod since it also helps locating certain things.

  • Is there a way to make this mod compatible with drakias questtracker? Compatible as in show ingame in the quest tracker?

  • how can i help with a spanish translation of the quests?

    • If you're able to provide translations I can add a localization file to the mod so that it loads it if the language is Spanish. I can either DM you the English file or you should be able to find it in the folders below. Many thanks for offering to help!

    • bro how to unlock traider ? its locked

    • Skier gives you a quest to unlock him after you do Burning Rubber, to do the quest you need to go to the elevators in the Nakatani building on the ground floor by the extract and walk up to the doors and look down into them, and that's how you complete the first quest.
