Completely removes any inertia and slowed down movement, and replaces it with the official much faster movement from Tarkov 12.10 3.9 Version in comments

    You might run into issues if you are using Skills Extended, there is nothing I can do on my end. I know the mod author is working on fixing this, and it may be fixed by the time you read this.

    Please do report issues if you are not using Skills Extended, and do run into issues specifically with this release.


    Added RemoveJitteryRotation option to the config, makes looking around much smoother, removes the "jittering" or "fidgeting" animations, basically added for new Tarkov players who find it annoying.

    this is a re-release of 1.0.9, I panicked when I saw people getting errors before, but I think it was just the mod conflict listed above

  • Hello, can you elaborate on what the new option does, I didn't feel any noticeable change when I changed it to true and false

    • When it's off, your character will not do the turning animations every 45 degrees, instead your character is always just facing forwards

  • i keep geting an error when i load into a raid. It pops up with a message saying "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Whenever i remove this mod my game runs fine. there are no errors in the server when it runs or when i load into the raid. Any idea whats up?

    • yeah so this happens if you have this mod and skills extended. they cannot coexist at the moment but the author for skills extended is working on a fix currently, just be patient

  • I'm having some issues, even with the config option turned on for no collision with bushes, they still slow me down.

  • Hello ! I'm looking to have some fun other than the regular gameplay of tarkov. Is there a way with your mod to remove the sliding animation when you suddently stop running ? And also is it possible to remove all sprinting mouse aim speed modification ?

  • How big of a chance there is that we get a version of old sprinting but with animations and shit... bc checking mags mid sprint is annyoing to use in old movement + BTR entry isnt there at all kinda funny xD.... just asking if its a possability

    when switching to the "CAPS" step,

    and then switch to the "SHIFT" sprint, then after moving to the sides "A","D"

    , the movement time is automatically reset to a step.

  • Just found a critical bug. It concerns the lighthouse keeper. When we open the door to the keeper, the character does not go to him and the whole game freezes.

    • Which version of SPT / EFT?
      Which variant are you using?

    • SPT 3.10.5 and ModernAnimations 1.0.5. Now I'll try 1.0.6

  • This doesn't work properly for my 3.10.5 SPT for some reason... - ie. movement is much SLOWER - especially lateral "Y" axis. I have the inertia configs heavily adjusted in my globals config (better than FU Inertia - feels VERY close but not quite same as very old version game) so maybe that interferes? (I could put original values back tho and try it I guess...). I don't believe this mod has anything to do with configs tho?

  • Speaking of Old Tarkov movement... Would it be possible to increase the sprint speed for higher strength levels that you could have before? ;)

    • This is actually still in the game.

    • Not sure what you mean but faster movement speed is Barely noticable with max level strength.
      Several years ago, before it got nerfed, max level strength players where twice as fast as a level 1 strength.

  • really cool mod,i love it <3 .but there is something wrong when it load at the same time with SAIN.No inertie works on both player and bots. This result in bots quickly circling(just like W>D>S>A>W>.......) and leaning fast behind cover.Too diffcult to hit head ;( ;( ;(

  • I've got the quick snappy lean and left/right strafe is instant as well but when sprinting forward, if I let go of both 'W' and 'Shift', my character still does a hockey stop (a skrrt slide forward like their fighting forward momentum) This happens often when trying to ADS after sprint.

    I can bypass it by strafing before I stop with the intended effect of stopping as if I were weightless. Is this normal or have I borked something xD

    • This is just ordinary Tarkov behavior, you just need to let go of shift (or press it again) before you stop.

    • For any other dweebs who have this issue, change your shift key to continuous instead of press. Completely negates the hockey stop!

    • i have my key on continuous but still get this issue, died numerous times because i physically cannot move my mouse enough to adjust for the slowdown

    • Oh damn? I also have weight almost completely negated so that might be why it worked for me? Not sure but that sucks. It was awful when it was happening.

  • Been using this mod all the time for the last month+ and love it.

    I'd love to see some other "old school" mods for the game. Such as some of the old ammunition icons, like how 556 was just a yellow bullet icon. Also maybe like how text before was thinner if you know what I'm talking about.

    • I know, but it was last updated on the first of December even though there have been updates since then. I'm wondering if the newer releases will work with 3.9.

    • I know about the pinned comment, however, the last time it was updated was the first. There have since been numerous fixes and such after. That's my question, do the latest patches work with 3.9?

    • They likely don't work, but it shouldn't be too much of a deal since there has only been one update since the time of writing this that fixed a very minor bug. The 3.9 version should be fine.

    • The only update 3.9 doesn't have is the small tiny fix I did for Fika setups. I didn't see a point because it was so small and updating 3.9 for that would be pointless. It also only for the old variant, and so you'll be okay.

    After starting the game, the loading screen takes forever to load.

    I don't get any error messages on the console.

  • so i got a trojan alert when installing this, saying "Trojan:script/Wacatac.B!ml" im sure this is a false positive but just wanna be sure. should i allow it so i can install the mod?

  • Having an issue with walking when installing the mod. (doesnt matte rwhat version , both , old or new) When pressing W my character starts walking (the animation plays) but the model stays in one place until i release W , then the character moves an inch forward. Might be because i use some mod that conflicts with this one or I'm just dumb and didn't update my spt properly
