Updated to 1.0.1. Added CN translation, thx 2 jiaybear!
What is Verbose Transits precisely?
Verbose Transits is a very small mod that adjusts RU and EN locales for map transits based on BSG's approach to all the usual EXFIL's. Basically...
- It changes EXFIL base text to destination location.
- The description is more in line with usual descriptions.
Example of new transit descriptions for Streets of Tarkov below:
I did not do extensive testing of the mod. Presumably, I didn't miss anything, and every transit should be covered by it. Lab's transit description above must be the longest out of all. The exfil list wraps around text, so no clunky stuff here.
Make sure to let me know if you are facing any issues. Cheers.

VirusTotal + Kaspersky checks are clear, MS Defender gives false positive on my mod. Check comments for related discussion.

Not sure it this is a Tarkov limitation or perhaps something you can work on, but playing with all extracts open regardless of where you spawn, some maps like Customs have too many extracts and so the last 1 or 2 transit points can be pushed out of view. Perhaps you can push the transit points up to the top of the list or if it's possible maybe expand the vertical size of the list itself, so it can show all the extracts.
AcidMC Author
Hi. Can you plz apply a screenshot?
I didn't have such an issue.
As for moving them up the list, I'm afraid I am not proficient enough in modding. Even if it's possible. I am more of a handyman guy who just does small snippets he finds useful.
AphEX
First image is extract list fully extended, with all extracts available on Customs. Second image is the same list retracting. You can see on the first image the Interchange transit is missing, seemingly because the list can't extend far enough down to display them all.
If you can't or don't know how to make that graphic extend further down, it's fine, not really a big deal. Was just wondering if you were aware of it.
AcidMC Author
Nah, I wasn't. I'll try and look into it. No promises.
This is really weird, I mean, as far as I understand you should be able to see them. In Customs, these transits are not exactly long texts, neither in my mod nor in original
AphEX
I imagine it's probably not a problem with the length of the text, but rather simply the amount of extracts on certain maps when all of them are available. If I were playing with the normal amount of extracts, I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue as even on Shoreline or Factory I can see all of the extracts.
Seems like the graphic can only display 11 extracts + transits. On maps that have more than that, Customs, Woods, and Streets, then that last 1 or 2 transits get clipped out. I imagine the only solution to that is somehow extending the graphic vertically to be able to display 13 extracts, which is the max amount of PMC extracts on Streets.
Once again, keep in mind this is only an issue for those of us playing with all extracts enabled regardless of where on the map you spawn. I play with Raid Overhaul and will often wander across the whole map so I like to be able to extract anywhere even if it's right next to where I spawned. For people who play with extracts like vanilla Tarkov, they'll probably never run into this issue as the game just won't have to display as many extracts for them.
AcidMC Author
Ah, right. You got all the extracts. I am not sure the game is meant to handle that. It may be that one has to completely override the exfil pop-up. I can assure you if that's the case, I won't be able to handle it
Smellyfishfings
idk if you can get notified by replys or not so im making a new comment but my windows security says "threats found microsoft defender antivirus found threats get details"
Smellyfishfings
it says 0 threats found when it scanned 1 minute and 40 seconds ago
AcidMC Author
Discussed below. Seems like a false positive. I ran a check via VirusTotal and Kaspersky, nothing found in mod files.
Smellyfishfings
you fixed it so its fine now i am able to download it
AcidMC Author
Weird lol. I didn't change nothing apart from adding CN translation...
Smellyfishfings
maybe my computer thought the translation was the virus 😄
jiaybear
hi bro, this is a great mod, I want to translate it and post it on oddba forum, of course I will put the link of spt in the first line, do you mind if I do that?
AcidMC Author
Hi. Sure, go ahead.
Actually, if you'd like, I can implement your translation to the mod in its new version. HMU if u want that.
jiaybear
that would be awesome, thank you so much!!!
AcidMC Author
Sure. When u r done with translation, DM me relevant strings, I'll implement it.
Smellyfishfings
it said virus detected
spicymanp
not a helpful comment at all!!
It is concerning that there has been in increasing number of malware and virus reports. this one specifically pointing to wacatac.ml
I would steer clear until this can be clarified as either a false-positive or a clean file is uploaded.
AcidMC Author
Which A/V says virus is detected? Is it Microsoft Defender or smth else?
That's why I attached a virustotal report. I got a trojan claim for another file, too. From Windows Defender. Which is confusing at best for me. I guess I will need to run a check on my system with all these claims.
UPD: ran an antivirus check with Kaspersky on my PC. It did not find anything but an old version of a Chrome extension that is *still* up in Chrome Extension Store. I removed that file from the system nonetheless. I do not believe it was a virus, feels like a false positive, more like.
Obviously enough, mod files were not detected as virus-infested.

If this is still not convincing, I can post the mod code to GitHub. But in my book this mod is not deserving of GitHub. It's a 15-minute CTRL+C - CTRL+V speedrun.
DrakiaXYZ
The virus detection is a false positive, server mods (Which this is) are plain-text TypeScript files, you can open the source yourself and see that all it's doing is updating some string values.
Every time a new SPT update comes out, a slew of mods update, and a good chunk of them get flagged by some random no-name third party antivirus. At the end of the day it's up to each user to verify the validity of both an antivirus flag, as well as an authors claims
AcidMC Author
Thanks for your input m8. I obv don't want to do any harm, and really am confused by these allegations
spicymanp
@AcidMC it was MS Defender that triggered for me. Interestingly (or not?) the only other file that raised the same flag was also a zip generated by downloading from Google Drive.
I mean no harm with my comment whatsoever and I sincerely appreciate the community of dedicated modders and all the time, effort and passion you all pour into these mods, no matter how CTRL+C CTRL+V their creators may think they are.
I just haven't had any other mod trigger this sort of warning in the past and came here seeking more information. I'll be honest, I hadn't noticed that you had posted a link to the Virus Total report.
Comments such as those made by (in this instance, tomcruise123) don't help anyone and do more to damage the reputation of this community than anything else.
Not everyone that comes here are especially technically clued up and the idea of a virus is all it takes to turn some away completely.
Anyways, thanks for the mod - it's a great idea for players such as myself who haven't played in a while and have no idea how the interconnect between maps even works.
