Make weapon mastery improve your aim, reload and malfunction fix speeds.

Did you know that in the official EFT, you gain 5% movement speed while aiming down the sights per weapon mastery of the used weapon? This mod extends this advantage to also give 5% aiming speed, reload speed and malfunction fix speed per mastery level.

Thanks to CJ for pointing out the function where this stuff happens.

  • Thanks for this mod! Would it be possible to add a small buff to recoil control as well? :)

  • Is this compatible with Realism?

    • Technically, this mod doesn't change anything. It just adds additional behavior. Thus, it is compatible with everything. If it doesn't work with Realism, it's Realism not being compatible with this mod.

That being said, it does excessive null checking and will fail gracefully if installed together with incompatible mods

  • Is there anyway to configure this mod to increase meaningfulness?

    • Nope. I don't have the habit of creating configs :(

  • Will this mod conflict with CJ's Skills Extended mod?

    • No. It will work just fine

  • No wonder I never noticed with it just being 5% and mastery only being a couple levels.

5% would be great if there were like 5 mastery levels.

    • 10% movement speed is actually noticeable when you know about it :)

  • what does weapon mastery even do

    • in vanilla, it makes you move 5% faster when aiming, and may give you a new reload animation depending on which weapon you use.

    • so in other words "mastery" is just your character become slightly better with the gun and decides his first reload is to boring and switches. noted, so weapon mastery in vanilla does nothing

    • Yeah. That's the essence of it ;(

  • Awesome addition to the game's playability, thank you <3

    Heart 1
  • Honestly I never knew that mastery only did that. This is a great buff for it! ^^

    • I don't think anybody knew. It's not mentioned anywhere. I just happened to stumble upon it in the game's source code.
