  • DoEs ThIs PlAy MuSiC?!?!1

    • I'm trying to think of something threatening that wont get me banned by staff, pijin.

    • relatable

    • fun thin you could make it work if you say "if you want to hear it add it yourself in the mod data"
cant get you banned if you say they need to do it themself or am i am wrong with that idea?

  • the Planned additions go so hard

  • you should add the album by duran duran FUTURE PAST has my favorite song from MGSV TPP invisible pweaseeee

  • Are these just souvenirs?

    • Yeah, I have no way of making these actually play because I don't understand client-mod coding, sorry :/

    • I'm not saying "do it", and I have absolutely no idea how practical it is (probably not at all), but if it's something you'd actually like to investigate...

CWX's megamod has an option to replace the reserve alarm (hermetic exfil switch) with a user-supplied audio file.

If that basic code approach would also work for changing the hideout music track (and, I suppose, if CWX is ok with you borrowing the code if that's the route you go), I wonder if it would be possible to add a "slot" to a hideout zone (e.g. Rest Space) that can accept the records (one at a time, obviously), and then have each different in-game record call on a pre-defined filename (e.g. track_1, track_2, etc.) in the client mod's file tree.

Then you just put "dummy" tracks in the distributed mod and let people replace them with whatever they want.

It's probably much more work than is worth doing though.

ETA: The cultist circle might also be a useful example to look at, particularly the slot it has for the sacred amulet.

      Thumbs Up 1
  • I love how half of the plans are from me

  • Do you think you could add some albums by System of a Down? Preferably, Steal this album!, Mezmerize, System of a Down

  • This is pretty cool. Is there a questline that will be associated, or just items to collect?

    • I guess I could write something akin to "Collector" for these, but that'd have to be when they're all complete because I don't want to just update the quest mid-way through and ruin people's progression, but hell yeah!

    • I agree 100% and appreciate the respect to players not wanting to have their progression messed up. Only add it once all the items have been added.

I have a writing background, so if you would like some help writing a story for the quest line ... just let me know. :)

  • Okay, I legit love this one. What we need now is a plug-in to be able to add our own vinyl records and listen to them in our hideout.

  • We came from collecting Pokemon and YuGiOh, to then collecting Hololive (because the 2 previous mods were deleted) and now we shall collect Vinyl records, what a time to be alive.
