Another legendary weapon updated and tuned!

ONE thing the document below doesn't cover, is my muzzle adapter experiment. I added the Tiger Rock mosin adapter the the standard barrel, and in MY items file have been using the Daniel Defense muzzle brake as a secondary adapter. Started out so i could attach the oil filter suppressor to anything i wanted without having a gap, and evolved into me trying to make any muzzle device work on any weapon without having to change a bunch of item compatibilities. I'll add a few more adapters to the barrels in the next update. I have been playing with this for a few weeks and completely forgot about it so it should all be working as intended, unlike the SAA yesterday.

Credits go to Choccy, who is on a hiatus and has given indirect permission to anyone wanting to update his mods as long as credit is given and the license remains the same. If you want to use the new ammo types in your own mod, feel free, just abide by Choccy's wishes.

   Changes Overview
This document details all changes made to the Walther WA-2000 sniper rifle and its
ammunition in the mod. The updates include adjustments to the weapon’s base stats,
detailed specifications for four .300 Winchester Magnum ammo types (FMJ, HP, Tracer,
and AP), and a range of attachments with their effects. These changes ensure realistic
performance for a precision bullpup sniper rifle, optimized for a skilled marksman capable
of long-range accuracy and control. A short history of the WA-2000 and its ammo types
is included, along with reasoning for each modification to enhance gameplay and realism.


   History of the Walther WA-2000
The Walther WA-2000, introduced in the 1980s by the German manufacturer Walther,
is a semi-automatic bullpup sniper rifle designed for law enforcement and military precision shooting. Chambered primarily in .300 Winchester Magnum, it was developed in response to a demand for a compact, highly accurate rifle following the 1972 Munich
Olympics attack, where maneuverability and precision were critical. Its bullpup configuration placing the action behind the trigger allowed

for a long barrel in a shorter overall package, making it unique among sniper rifles of its time. Only 176 units were produced due to its high cost and complexity, making it a rare and iconic firearm. In the game, the WA-2000 reflects this legacy as a top-tier sniper rifle,

blending historical authenticity with practical customization. We are going to pretend that Walther managed to sell a major contract and that they are relatively common among counter terrorism, SF units, and Private Operators. (There is a clone being made here in the US, but I haven't seen recent updates.)


   Changes to the WA-2000
The WA-2000’s base stats have been tuned to reflect its real-world precision and bullpup
design, optimized for a skilled sniper. Below are the changes and their reasoning:
• Weight: Set to 4.5 kg (base, adjusted for attachments).
– Reasoning: The real WA-2000 weighs approximately 6.95 kg, but the in-game weight
is reduced for balance, reflecting a stripped-down version suitable for agile gameplay
while retaining its hefty feel. Attachments adjust this further as needed.

• Ergonomics: Set to 42.
– Reasoning: The bullpup layout improves handling over traditional rifles, and this
value reflects a skilled user’s ability to wield it effectively, balancing realism with
gameplay fluidity.

• Recoil: RecoilForceUp: 450, RecoilForceBack: 900.
– Reasoning: The .300 Winchester Magnum produces significant recoil, but these
values are manageable for a trained marksman, allowing for quick follow-up shotskey
for a semi-automatic sniper rifle in dynamic engagements.

• Accuracy: CenterOfImpact: 0.01 (approximately 1 MOA).
– Reasoning: The WA-2000 is renowned for sub-MOA accuracy in real life. This stat
ensures pinpoint precision, rewarding skilled aim at long ranges, true to its historical
design.

• Fire Rate: bFirerate: 120 (2-3 rounds per second).
– Reasoning: As a semi-automatic rifle, the WA-2000 allows rapid shots compared
to bolt-action counterparts. This rate reflects a skilled user’s trigger discipline,
enhancing its combat versatility.

• Iron Sight Range: Set to 100 meters.
– Reasoning: While typically used with optics, the 100-meter iron sight range suits
close-to-mid-range engagements, with scopes extending its reachaligned with its
real-world adaptability.


   Changes to .300 Winchester Magnum Ammo
The WA-2000 uses four .300 Winchester Magnum ammo types, each based on real-world
counterparts. Below are their details, histories, applications, and reasoning for changes.


   .300 Winchester Magnum Sierra MatchKing 190gr FMJ
• History: Introduced by Sierra Bullets in the 1950s, the MatchKing line became a
gold standard for precision shooters. The 190-grain .300 Winchester Magnum variant
excels in long-range competitions due to its high ballistic coefficient.
• Real-World Applications: Used in sniper training and competitive shooting, prized
for accuracy over penetration, especially in military and civilian marksmanship events. Can't forget, Chris Kyle's preferred cartridge!

– Penetration: 45
– Bullet Velocity: 880 m/s

• Reasoning: Stats emphasize precision and moderate penetration, mirroring its realworld role as a match-grade round. High velocity and accuracy make it ideal for
long-range headshots against armored foes, balanced by lower damage for gameplay
fairness.

   .300 Winchester Magnum InterLock HP
• History: Hornadys InterLock design, launched in the 1970s, revolutionized hollow
point bullets by locking the core and jacket together, ensuring reliable expansion. The
180-grain .300 Win Mag version is a hunting staple.
• Real-World Applications: Popular for big game hunting (e.g., elk, bear), where its
expansion delivers devastating wounds while minimizing over-penetration, also used
in law enforcement for its stopping power. (I once field cleaned a buck with a 300 win mag interlok...yeah its nasty)

• Reasoning: High damage and fragmentation reflect its hunting roots, excelling against

choice for flesh damage over armor piercing.

    .300 Winchester Magnum A191 Tracer
• History: Tracer rounds date back to World War I, with the A191 variant developed
for modern military use. The .300 Win Mag tracer aids snipers in tracking shots,
especially in low-light conditions.
• Real-World Applications: Employed in military training and combat to adjust
aim at long ranges, its glowing path enhances situational awareness for snipers and
spotters.

   .300 Winchester Magnum Swiss P AP
• History: Swiss P armor-piercing rounds, featuring tungsten carbide cores, emerged
in the late 20th century to counter light armor. The 196-grain .300 Win Mag version
is a specialized anti-material round.
• Real-World Applications: Used by military and law enforcement to penetrate vehicle armor, barriers, or fortified positions, offering precision with destructive capability.

The WA-2000 supports a variety of attachments, enhancing its versatility. Below are the
additions and their reasoning:
• Magazines: WA2000_MAG (6-round), WA2000_MAG10 (10-round), WA2000_MAG15
(15-round).
– Reasoning: The real WA-2000 used a 6-round magazine, but larger options (10
and 15) are added for gameplay flexibility, reflecting aftermarket possibilities while
keeping the base authentic.

• Bipod: WA2000_BIPOD (reduces recoil when deployed).
– Reasoning: A common sniper accessory, it stabilizes shots at long range, aligning
with the WA-2000s precision focus.

• Handguards: WA2000_HANDGUARD (standard), WA2000_SPECHANDGUARD
(tactical with rails).
– Reasoning: The tactical version adds modularity for modern attachments, enhancing customization while the standard retains historical accuracy.

Notes
- The WA-2000 mod preserves its original structure (loot spawns, bot integration, trader
settings), with only the changes to ammo and stat adjustments made.

- Bot configurations (e.g., Shturman, FollowerBirdeye) showcase practical setups, detailed in-game for inspiration.

- Stats and attachments are tuned to reflect historical ballistics and a skilled users proficiency, optimizing the WA-2000 for precision and versatility.

- Choccy's last version was 1.0.5, this is 1.1.0 to indicate the major changes and change in who is maintaining it.

    • Yes, I worked on the OG mod on my existing profile to make sure it wouldn't corrupt it.
      Profiles can handle name and stat changes, just not ID changes or removals.

I can use the Creedmoor variant and clone it to 300 win mag? or the osiris would be easy, just add the new ammo IDs to the osiris chamber and magazines, and the ammo will do the ballistics changes fairly well without having to clone the original weapon. 300 win mag is just long action 762x51, basically a 30-06 on peyote.. handloading the longer rounds might look slightly off but i'll give it a shot and see what happens.

    • Keep me posted! I love boltys and i need more options! You should also see about 50BMG now that its in the game and the AK50 is available via a mod for SPT as well. With new ammo as well in that mod. Could be a dang good collab

    • We had one added to Anomaly ported from i think MW2 or Black ops.. but unfortunately my experience is in scripting, not ports :(
