Love the effort but so far for me the problem persists (I have about 6 other mods fyi).
What's worse is a new bug probably caused by this —— there is now a "BEAR Cap" item that persistently appears as "You just examined this! Click the bottom right green button again and... again and again!"
Cannot say for certain if this bug is caused exactly by this mod. Just giving my observation.

Firstly, Cheers for considering my recommendation. You're the GOAT.
and to be honest, as much as I love how knight looks, Fucking with the base item swap is such a hassle and it might introduce unforeseen problems that have a tendency to happen when manipulating base inventories, and maybe... just maybe... when 1.0 drops... they fix it.
I dunno, it's up to you my guy. I already pretty much spam the Blackout goggles from your requisitions mod so I appreciate the work you've put in alot, and I don't want you WTT Devs and Allied bois to waste time on niche stuff, if you don't feel passionate about it.

I honestly think BSG's item is trying to fight with mine every time its rendered. i think it would take something like a C# DLL to force it to only render the fixed one. its very fucking annoying to put it bluntly.
I would spend time to try and fix this further but its honestly not worth my time. im more busy with school/work & would rather dedicate my free time to Requisitions and playing dumb shit with my homeboys
for now the bandaid fix will be all

Excuse my ignorance, but is this what this mod is for? Are you saying, in SPT, if we kill Knight, and loot his "Death Knight mask" (or item spawn "62963c18dbc8ab5f0d382d0b" it in the game", the player can not wear the mask without this fix? Or Knight does not even show the "Death Knight mask" without this mod fix? Thanks

the base game death knight mask does not render. it exists in the game but you cant see the model
this mod overwrites the model to attempt to make it render
you can play the game without the mod

I tested it both with Fika and without, with Fika it's the host like you said, but without Fika the issue does persist.
Not sure exactly what's going on but it basically de-renders upon loading into the game, anytime after leaving menu.
At this point I get the feeling BSG are making fun of us for finding Knights mask cool by making it an unfixable problem. this is some coconut.jpg type joke

There is probably a workaround, I'm not so savvy on Tarkov modding, but I'm a programmer, the easy way out is just making a new item, just giving it a brand new ID, weight, etc... and just call it Death Knight Alt Mask or something, make it purcheseable on the flea, same model and all that.
But to make it work on Knight.... Iiiii have no idea... Like, Truly, genuinely, it feels like a running gag with Battlestate, one day the mask just started vanishing and woosh, nothing happens even though people have been complaining about it.
Edit: I swear to god, if for some reason the rendering issue is tied to the model, I'm going to divebomb straight into a woodchipper.

so i remade the model myself and did it the way i do all my custom shit in Echoes of Tarkov requisitions, so i know it works. the only difference here is that the code for this mod, "Code", is just making it so the knight mask is overwritten by my mask. i think the client is battling for which mask is rendered each time you look.
i could definitely make it a new item, but i would need to do some fuckery to push it to knight. even then it wouldn't work with APBS or ALP (as in they wouldnt use my mask i dont think)

For me it works upon launching the game each time but after either doing a raid or changing up my loadout it'll stop rendering again.

the item is remade from the ground up by me. There should be no rendering issues. Its likely a bad install or an issue with like fika. I can test when I get home

tried reinstalling and putting it at top of load order but no luck still, it'll render on a fresh boot of the game but as soon as i get in a raid or go to my hideout it stops rendering again right away.
The mod is 100% loading as i can see it in the cmd window and there's 0 errors and i do use fika.
