Weapon Inconsistencies 1.0.1

Fixes weird size issues in EFT that BSG clearly doesn't want to implement, so I implemented it for them!

So I had actually had this mod up on the github before it got wiped and I forgot to back it up , so here is the remake! nyurage

When playing Tarkov I noticed that somethings just aren't very consistent. The FAL 10 round mag adds 1 down, but the Wyatt 10 round mag doesn't add any size at all despite being almost double it's length! This mod aims to fix those weird inconsistencies that I've found. This is all I could think of off the top of my head, but I'm open to suggestions on what else to change because there are definitely more issues like these!

V1.0.0 - Initial Release

URX 8" Handguard - Extra Size Left 2 -> 1

URX 10.75" Handguard - Extra Size Left 3 -> 2 (senkothink Technically this only really helps if you make it compatible with the 260mm barrel)

M700 AICS Polymer Stock - Extra Size Down 1 -> 0

UMP 45 - Base Height 2 -> 1

UMP 45 25Rd Mag - Extra Size Down 0 -> 1 (This makes it more like the MP5, as they are very similar in size)

FAL 10Rd Mag - Extra Size Down 1 -> 0

M700 Wyatt 10Rd Mag - Extra Size Down 0 -> 1

  • Version 1.0.1

    Update for 2.2.0 Compatibility, no added features (yet).

    Please Redownload if you are getting the version error, im dumb.

  • Version 1.0.0

  • a tip is to fix the vss with/without the suppressor bc without the supresor its 3x2 but with it its 5x2.

  • can you add the dbal for use on the mp7?

  • Another tip: reduce size down for 10rd G28 mag from 1 to 0

    Appreciate the mod!

    • Though that is an inconsistency, it really doesn't affect gameplay as the G28 requires you to have a pistol grip which is always a +1 down. I'll add it regardless, but unless something else uses the mag its a kinda useless fix.

  • When You Open The Server It Gives An Error Saying That The Mod Has A Invalid Version String.

    To Fix It You Have To Go To Package.json And Change The Version From "1.0.0b" To "1.0.0"

    • Fixed, sorry about that haha

  • Any chance you can fix the KS-23? It shoots way below the sight, it's been fixed in live, but hoping you can fix it here too!

  • there are many guns that should fold but don't is this something you're looking to tackle if so i can assist you via providing a list of these default issues. there are also stocks that you can add to non-default folding guns that should allow them to fold, but instead ignores this as well. i know that there will be image/animations missing since they are missing along with the code for these weapons. anyway i'm fairly qualified to answer most questions about firearms and what is realistic and what isn't so feel free to reach out to me in the discord and ask away.

    disclaimer: i'm not a software/code fluent person so i probably wont be able to help you in that department.

  • I have a question - does this conflict with any other mod and/or effect Mechanics Gunsmith tasks?

    • It shouldn't conflict in theory, but if it does feel free to report it. This also should not affect Gunsmith quests as none of these items are used in them.

    • Thanks for the reply dude. If you say its safe and I shouldn't need to worry I'll stick with your answer but I'll check back if something crops up. I downloaded another mod a few days ago that changed some characteristics of weapons, most of these weapons were needed for Gunsmith tasks and it completely broke the questline, weeks and hours of game time gone I was livid but I understand that it happens lol.

    • I've made similar mistakes. That's why I have a back up system.

      I make 3 different back up save files that I leap frog when updating, in case I screw something up and have to replace my current profile save with an older one. Why 3? Old habit from playing games like Skyrim where I may make several main quest choices that ultimately lead to a bad place, I've screwed up rewards, or not where I want to be quest wise. That way, I have several places I can revert to, to try to make better choices.

      But here, it's mostly just having multiple back ups in case I screw up the backing up part. :D

      I do the same for an config.json files or whatever I make too many modifications to undo by hand. That way, I just replace the config file instead of having to reinstall the mod to overwrite it.

      Haha 1
  • This ... THIS is the kind of thing I used to do as an actual job. Looking for bugs and reporting them to those who can fix them.

    Bugs aren't always something that's broken or not functioning properly, like no audio for a certain gun or clipping through a door after shooting it.

    A "bug" is anything that can negatively affect a players experience and immersion breaking aspects of a game, such as inconsistent sizes of stuff that doesn't make sense, is one of them.

    I haven't installed this mod, but I can already tell it's going in the right direction and that's why I made this comment.

  • Thanks for this! Another I've noticed is folding the stock on the Orsis T-5000 doesn't reduce the space!

    • I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THAT ONE. Def gonna be in the next update!

      Thanks 1
