  • Ive kinda made this mod work again using the AdvancedTraderFramework mod.

    Step 1: Download both AdvancedTraderFramework and the most recent version of SCAVCAT
    Step 2: Go to zzzAdvancedTraderFramework>db>traders and copy the 'zNewModdedTraderExample'
    Step 3: Paste it back into the traders folder and rename it SCAVCAT
    Step 4: Open TraderConfig.JSON and change "enabled" to true, along with "modifyAssort" and "modifyBase" and save
    Step 5: Open base.JSON and change "working" to true (NOTE: IF you change the id in one place you have to change it everywhere else) and save
    Step 6: Open TradePackages>DefaultTradePackage>assort and delete all the contents but leave the folder

    Step 7: Open SCAVCAT (OG mod) > db ,copy assort.JSON and paste it into the assort folder in the ATF mod
    Step 8: Then move ATF into your user>mods folder

    • Just want to let you know that I tried your process, but the server and launcher have issues communicating with each other. The launcher was not able to recognize my profile. I got it to launch once after I created a new profile, but was not able to get to launch my previous save after that.


      Not sure if I am doing anything wrong, but just wanted to mention it.

  • How to Fix if this mod breaks your install


    Hey everyone, if you install this mod and it breaks your install and still can't load SPT after removing it here is what you can do.


    Find your character's profile at {spt}\ user\profiles. If you've made multiple accounts, there there will be a file here for each one. Just find the one for the character you tried to log in as with scavcat.


    Once you have that open, ctrl+f for 'SCAVCAT' and delete the whole json element with the null resupply time.


    I'm curious if setting the null there to the resupply time listen in the db\base would fix the mod, but figured I would wait for an update instead.

    • If you are having the problem Spoodle gave a fix to, uninstall and reinstall SPT, and install the DB folder and update SCAVCAT before placing in the MODS folder. took a couple tries and almost slitting my wrists but it worked for me. Walkie#2878 on discord if u need help homie

  • For those using AKI 2.0.x I have made a small fix here https://www.mediafire.com/file…8kggh0x8ar/base.json/file
    All I did was update the "base,json" in "SCAVCAT/db/" to match new trader configs and it worked

    (I am not a good programmer so this might not be an optimal solution)

    All you need to do is drag this base.json in "SCAVCAT/db/" and replace the old one

    • Unfortunately as I said, I am not a good programmer, hell I barely know what I am doing...
      But what I said here is all I did to get mine to work. All I can say to help is maybe try reinstalled the entire mod on the latest version, and then apply my base.json fix and see if it works

    • ummm... i face the same error but i take different approach, so i extracted db files in SCAVCAT and put it on Server/db/traders and paste the scavcat DB there and rename from db to SCAVCAT, while changing the base loyalties similiar like other traders, somehow it works. i don't know what i do. but it seems doesnt have insurance or profile picture of scavcat :\. it works anyway

  • Made an unofficial patch to this mod


    - removed broken items from trader

    - added remaining containers (holodilnik, keytool, documents, wallet and regular weapons case)

    - rebalanced the prices to base in-game values, so no money exploit is possible (you can change them manually by editing db/assort.js if you wish)

    - removed Kappa container (felt it was cheaty and missed the point of the mod, but you can add it back if you wish, ID is 5c093ca986f7740a1867ab12 and base price is 4900000)

    - disabled repair and insurance

  • Heads up. In AKI-1.0.1, buying the machine gun and/or ammo belt causes certain traders to be inaccessible. Error thread here: RE: Can't open half of the game's vendors.
