SR-2M 'Veresk' 9x21mm Submachine Gun 1.2.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Port of the SR-2M 'Veresk' from the new Tarkov wipe.

Special thanks to the SPT devs for dumping the relevant json files required for these mods to work, and for everything else! <3

Note: This mod is no longer needed if you are running SPT version 3.5.0 or later as the SR-2M is included by default!

Installation:

Download the .zip file, extract all, and add the folder MC-SR2M to your user/mods/ folder in SPT. Make sure it is just the folder with all of the contents, not a folder with another MC-SR2M folder inside of it, else the mod will probably throw an error!

The directory should look like this:

/user/mods/MC-SR2M/

and not this:

/user/mods/MC-SR2M_1.1.0/MC-SR2M/

To try and use with older versions (potentially 3.1.0 and newer, 3.0.0 and older will definitely not work), make sure to open "config.json" with Notepad, change oldLocales from "false" to "true" (without quotes), save and close the file

Things not added:

  • Weapon mod compatibilities and conflicts have not been added to other items (not sure if there are any)

Uninstalling:

If for whatever reason you need to remove this mod, make sure you delete any new items that this mod adds from your inventory before you delete the mod folder!

Let me know if there are any issues with it!

  • Version 1.2.0

Small update - added support for the old locale format, meaning that this mod will likely work for versions 3.2.5 and newer. It might work for versions 3.1.0 and newer, but I am unsure. It definitely will not work for 3.0.0 and older.

In order to enable compatibility for versions before 3.4.0, open "config.json" with Notepad, and set oldLocales from "false" to "true" (without quotes), save and close the file. No need to change anything if you are using 3.4.X.

  • Version 1.1.0

    • Added parts and weapons to traders. Should be consistent with live.
    • Added a few other locales. These are all I have access to so apologies if yours is not one of them.
      • I believe they are Chinese, Czech, Mexican-Spanish, Italian, Polish, and Turkish. Plus the original English and Russian of course.
      • Feel free to edit your locale under MC-SR2M/database/locales/global if yours is still in English.

  • Version 1.0.0

  • <3:thumbup::love: love this mod man and even adding some ammo in ur mod so much better

    Thumbs Up 1
  • I get all of the new guns and tried out Veresk and the 50 revolver. I can't even describe how much I enjoyed that raid. These guns are fun af. Thank you so much for bringing these beauties to spt.

  • Anyone else having the reflex sight shade attachment that is attached backwards? It installs itself inside the reflex sight and not towards the front of sight. I couldn't find a way to fix this.

    • Hmm, interesting. Its not just you, it is that way for everyone it looks like. BSG moment, I guess. I wonder if they fixed it in live since 0.13 first came out.... Anyone have a source on whether or not the live one is correct now?

    • it is this way even live iirc (personally)

      Thumbs Up 1
  • I am having ID numbers instead of items names (including all 0.13 guns uploaded by you), no matter what language I am using. Is there any way to fix this? (my version is 3.2.5)

    • There is, and it is because the mod is not officially supported on any version before 3.4.0.

Each mod has a locale file that stores all the corresponding text in your language for each item. The format of these files was changed recently by BSG (I believe), and therefore the compatibility also changed.

Give me some time and I will see if I can put together some new locale files for each of my mods and some instructions for how to change it. There is no guarantee that this is the only issue however but it is worth a shot.

    • I've noticed it as well when was checking .js and localization files of old and new mods, in my opinion it's possible to just use a template off the old files

    • Most likely, yes, but at 4 mods with 16 locale files each.... I might have to just do the english ones for now. I also need to check and see if it is actually compatible with how the locales are loaded in the code.

    • Hmm. You would need to change the code for how the locales are loaded as well.

    • If you are willing to test, here is a version that can use the old locale format (English only at the moment). Make sure you open the config.json file with notepad and change the "false" to "true".

Please do let me know if this works or if there are any problems with it!

  • This as well as the AUG and 19X mods don't seem to work with ammo mods. The game will run I just can't pack mags with the modded ammo, does anyone else have this issue?

    Thumbs Up 1
    • That is to be expected. The game has to be told what ammo can go into what magazines/chambers and your ammo mods wouldn't have the new IDs for the new items so that the custom ammo can be added to the new items filters.

    • is there a way I can add the ID's to the filters myself or are they locked?

    • Its not impossible but it is somewhat difficult to explain. Can I ask what ammo mods you are using?

    • I am using

      JOSHJ5HAWK'S SUPER AMMO

    • Let me take a look at that to see how he adds the IDs and I'll get back to you

  • Ich habe es heruntergeladen, aber es sagt

modlaoder :mod (VERESEK) hat keine JSON-Daten

ich hoffe es funktioniert für aki 3.4.1

aber es funktioniert nicht für mich:(

    • And there is only one folder called "MC-SR2M" with three folders and three json files inside it?

    • nein da sind 6 ordner

      bundles

      database

      src

      bundles,json

      config,json

      package.json

    • habe auch genau das gleiche problem bei der

      Glock 19X

      AUG A!

      AXMC

      RSH-12 revolver

    • Ok so it has the right contents it seems like, but in your user/mods folder, you only have the folder "MC-SR2M" that has those contents directly inside it?

    • ja den ordner hab ich der die datein enthält

  • This and the Glock work perfectly! Thank you!
