Speed Loader 1.0.8

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Allows large capacity magazines to be loaded/ unloaded with ammo faster.

This mod increases the speed with which the larger magazines can be loaded and unloaded with ammo,
and the magazine check speed for them.
Use the config file to adjust the speeds and minimum size magazine you want to adjust as you see fit.

The MAXIMUM change to speed is 100, meaning 100%. This gives near instant reloading of mags.

HOWEVER!! Your MagDrills skill will be taken into account too, so you need to adjust for that.

For example, if your MagDrills skill gives 30% reduction in load times, you can only set this mod at up to -70,

if your MagDrills skill gives 20% reduction in load times, you can only set this mod at up to -80, etc.

IF YOU SET IT TO TOTAL MORE THAN 100, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LOAD OR UNLOAD MAGS AT ALL!

To check your MagDrills bonus, got to your character, then skills page. Find MagDrills then hover your mouse over the little boxes at the right hand end. Find the ones that say about load and unload speed modifiers and deduct that number from 100, This result is the maximum reduction you can set in this mod.

  • I have updated the file for you. It works perfect. Would you like me to send it to you or could I upload it myself and give you all the credit :) xxxx

    • Feel free to upload mate, I don't get time to come on here much at the mo, working all hours! ;(

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Thank you legend xx

  • Any plan to update for 380?

    • I will be, just not sure when I'll have the time.

    • It works on 3.8.0 and 3.8.1. I've been running it for around 2 weeks now

  • So far, it works on 3.7.4 with a TON of mods.

All I did was update the server version to 3.7.X and change the minimum mag size from 30 to 60, as I already had SVM change the reload speed of everything else.

  • Does this mod works with the 3.7.0?

    • yes, it's currently working in 3.7.0 in my testing so far.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Yes, all my mods work fine with 3.7.0 as far as I know.

  • will this be updated to 3.6.1? or will it work with it now?

    • Should work just fine, I've been using all of my mods with no changes.

    • after testing it, you are right. it does work on 3.6.1 thank you :)

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Is there a setting to change the 250 round magazine to 100 rounds?

There are too many bullets and it takes a long time to load.

I have a mod called speed loader, but it is not reflected,

Slower than normal magazine loading, and quite inconvenient.

    • Have you installed this mod? It should solve your problem, it speeds up reloading.

    • Which magazine do you mean? I can't find a 250 round magazine.

    • omg.

I sent it to the wrong place...

I ended up asking a question about the Olympus mod here.

      sorry.

    • Lol. No worries.

  • do you think this would be compatible with 3.5.4?

  • Do you have this in a public git repo somewhere? I'd like to help update it.

    • I don't at the mo, just uploaded on here. I should be updating this weekend though hopefully.

Thank you for the offer all the same, it's appreciated.

      Heart 1
  • will you update this to 3.5 at some point?

    • Yes, I'll be updating all of my mods to 3.5 once I get time. Well, at least all the ones I can get to work again! ^^

    • OMG THAAANK YOU P90 MAGS ARE SUCH A PAIN BUT I LOVE THE GUN

    • No problem

  • Будет для 3.4.x?

    • Should work ok, but I will update to make sure when I get round to it.

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Какую версию качать для 3.2.5 ?

    • No, try 3.2.1 version, should work. May throw an error but it won't matter.

  • Any ETA on further updates or anything new in the works? This mod still works it just needs tweaking in the config and it's pretty simple to do.

    • Yeah, I need to get around to updating all my mods for latest version. Just not had a chance yet, soon hopefully though!

Nothing new in the works at the minute, I don't really have the time to work on new mods at the mo.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Appreciate the response mate and ney worries my friend, just glad you are still around and kicking lmao. If you need any help with getting your mods updated drop me a DM, I have some free time and I know a lot of people would love to see your mods updated, myself included.

    • Thanks dude, appreciated.

Should get time to sort it this week or weekend hopefully. Don't think they need much anyways tbh.

  • привет, на 3.2.2 будет работать?)

    • Hi. Yes, it works upto and including 3.2.3

      Thumbs Up 1
  • im assuming for this mod we just place it in the Mods folder? or in the BepInX?

    • Yes, just in the mods folder mate.

    • Thanks a lot I got it working, fantastic mod btw!

    • You're welcome, and thank you!

  • If this mod were to be renamed, ie including a 'z' at the very start of the folder name to make it load as last possible, would that make it also affect magazines from modded weapons, like all of SamSWAT's weapons etc?

Or would it require much more, ie having to manually add those magazines into the mod files?

    • I've not tested it tbh, but I think it would work. If you scroll down in the comments a liittle, there is one from MrBlu1911 where I explain the needed changes to the mod files to make it load last in the list. It requires slightly more than just renaming the folder, but not much.

  • Tag still says 2.1.0

    • Hmm, try refreshing your page, it should say 2.2.0

  • Any news on the update for 2.2.0?

  • Please update!!!

The vanilla reload speed hurts my soul!!! :D

    • Lol. Will hopefully get it done this weekend, really busy at work this week!

      Thanks 1
  • will be update this awesome mod? cant gent work with 2.2.0 i changed version but still trace error

    • Hi. Yes, I'll be updating all my mods but probably won't have time until the weekend.

  • Hey Nootropix, could you give a detailed explanation of what each config parameter does and what the values mean? Would help future users understand the mod.

    • Hi Knitby. It's fairly strightforward.

"smallest_capacity_magazine_to_speedup" is the smallest magazine the mod will affect.

Eg, if set to 30 only magazines of 30 rounds or more will be affected.

"load_unload_speed" is how fast rounds being loaded or unloaded from the magazines will be adjusted, as a percentage.

Eg, if set to -100 it would make for almost instant refilling of magazines.

"mag_check" is how much a mag check speed will be adjusted, as a percentage.

Eg, if set to -100 it would make for near instant mag checks (I think, not tested that).

    • Awesome, glad I could help mate.

  • Is it possible to update this so it goes last in the stack ..... so it can affect items in mods above it?

I tried renaming the folder to "ZNootropix-SpeedLoader" so it would go last, but then I got a trace error.

    • In the src folder, open up speedloader.js in an editor (VScode, notepad++ etc, NOT standard notepad) then in the constructor section change

      this.mod = "Nootropix-SpeedLoader"; to

      this.mod = "ZNootropix-SpeedLoader";

Then change the folder name as you did before, to match that.

      Thanks 1
  • I'm running 2.1.1 with "minimum mag size: 1" and "speed: -70" and it's working perfectly.

If I raise it above -71, I get a bug where I can't load and unload.

Maybe it's because it adds up to the default speed, which is over -100.

I'm using a translation site, so my English is probably weird. Sorry about that.

Thanks to Nootropix for making a great mod.

    • Yes, that sounds like it could be it! Thank you for your help, appreciated.

  • Hello, I have spt aki 2.1.2 and if I use load/unload time other than stock (for example -200 wich I used in the previous spt aki version) it wont load or unload any mags that are in the range of minimum mag size. Do you know what might cause the problem?

    • Hi. I've just done some testing. It seems it's percentage based, the highest number that works is -100, which is near instant reloading. I have no idea why -200 worked before and doesn't now, it shouldn't have worked at all! Lol.

    • Thank you so much for commenting! Will try it and thanks for the mod, I considered downgrading just to use it!

    • You're welcome, hope it helps! And thank you for using my mod!

    • Ahh no difference, when I drag the bullet to the mag it shows a glitchy mag loading circle but nothings happening, I stop it and try again, and it doesnt do anything. Brought it down to -80, loaded and unloaded a 30 rounder mag nice and fast, and then it bugged again. Am I doing something wrong? should I keep min mag size 30? (I have it on 5)

    • -70 speed seems to be working fine for 2 raids now, almost instantly loads 73 size mag.

  • Hi mate, Any ETA on when this will be updated?, Thanks!

    • Hi mate. It'll work just fine with latest, it'll just show a yellow error in the server window but it's just a warning.

    • Hello, Cheers for the reply, I'm not sure if it comes setup correctly but It doesn't seem to work, I just cut corners and thought it was due to it not being the version I'm on but clearly not lol, just wondering is there anything I'm doing wrong? Cheers

    • Check the config file, it's setup at stock to only work on mags of more than 30 rounds IIRC so if you're using smaller cap mags it won't speed it up at all. If it's not that then I'd need more details, IE what exactly you are doing/ trying to do.

    • Right yeah, I reinstalled it and deleted the one before and it seems to be working now, Not exactly sure what I did wrong lol. Thanks for all the replies mate

    • No probs mate, happy to help.

  • can you update pls

    • Hi. Yes, will be doing an update of all my mods, hopefully some time this week.

  • I don't know if you plan on updating this so it works with weapon mods, but this doesn't affect the SCAR-H mags in the SCAR-H mod by SamSWAT. FN SCAR-H

I had to go in and change the numbers myself.

    Otherwise, great mod!!!!

    • Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to look into that down the line, not really updating anything at the mo as waiting on 2.0.0 release to see how things work.

      Like 1 Thanks 1
    • Makes sense.

From what I understand, 2.0.0 is close (relatively speaking) and I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time on what could be outdated soon.

  • Just to help others: I'm testing this mod (Version 1.0.1) on SPT AKI 1.6.0 (EFT_0.12.10.2.12893) and it is working like a charm.;)

    • Thanks dude. Most, if not all of my mods (except price adjuster and bitcoin price) should work on all current releases except bleeding edge, I just haven't got round to changing the version numbers yet.

  • update pls

    • Still works fine with latest release.

  • any chance this is getting an update ?

    • Hi mate. Yes, all my mods will get an update, just waiting for the beta to finsh. Won't be long now!

    • Letting you know this has been updated eatmildew

    • thanks a lot man
