    I have a lot of mods but this is about discord.

    The bot on the discord fails to message me and I have followed all of the directions on the discord. DMing the person whos sorting out the applications doesn't work as they have their DMs set to friends only. I was using reddit for little news updates about SPT so it would be nice to be able to join the discord for the same thing.

    first, the bot will not send you a DM for an application until you specifically click to request it. Discortics also tends to have some downtime, so there might be moments where the Discortics simply does not respond (which is really annoying and unfortunate.)


    secondly: so we additionally use the Discortics bot for verification against spam bots and ban evasion for alt discords. that is responsible for the account kicking immediately and is intentional. there are two criteria: you need an account with discord for at least one month, and you need to have a non-default avatar (profile picture).


    finally, as a community server, the security requirement is to have a registered phone number attached to your discord account. we don't receive any of that kind of info - that's entirely on discord's side. see here for a bit more detail on why that's the case.
