  • Failing to load, again

    I had this issue yesterday and after redownloading live Tarkov and the BSGLauncher from scratch, the game loaded. I was however able to only launch it once and verify it started, and then I went to bed. I came back today to play, and the game was missing almost all textures in-raid. Looked around in the discord and found this meant a bug had occurred and I'd need to redownload and reinstall. I did so, and now the game refuses to load once again.


    I've used 7zip at every step of installation to make sure that's not the issue, downloaded fresh copies of both the game and the AKI files (release and patcher), and reinstalled everything into a clean installation folder to make sure I had no bad files left behind.


    Overlays for the game via discord and nvidia are both disabled, and I've tried the alt+tab method discussed around the forums, but I still have no luck. The live version of the game from boot to title screen is less than 2 minutes, but I've waited over an hour for AKI to load and no dice. I'm really not sure what could be the problem now.

  • AKI Release missing files after unzipping

    I yet again redownloaded Tarkov live overnight and did another full reinstall, and by some strange slavic magic the game has magically decided to function normally?


    The loading times are a bit longer than vanilla but the game does boot through the splash now. I guess we didn't solve the problem but the effects are gone! :P

    Sure:


    - I copy the (fresh) live install to a working directory for SPT

    - unzip the patcher, patch live copy to x.x.x.17349

    - unzip aki v2.3.1, copy/overwrite to SPT directory


    when I go to copy the AKI files, many of them fail:


    with file explorer unzip, it hard stops with unspecified error 0x08004005

    with 7z, it extracts without issue, but is missing the same files explorer said fail. i tested this by 7z unpacking the aki files into a folder and going through them; every file i tested from the error messages was not in the output


    I've gone through the install steps a few times now, could I be misinterpreting something?

    I've been working on getting the installation process to work. I've done everything including reinstalling Tarkov and BSG completely, but I'd always get stuck on the first splash screen. I've tried everything on the FAQ page for that problem, and no dice.


    During my most recent reinstall attempt, I was unzipping the AKI files into my pre-made directory, and got an unspecified error. I switched to 7zip, and it extracted fine. This is how it went for the other installs as well. I skipped through the failed files on a whim, and then checked them against the files in the successful 7zip output, and they're all missing. Some notables are language.jsons, several dlls, and while I don't know the extension an AsseblyCSharp file. Could this be what's locking my game's loading up? I don't think the installation is even being completed.


    My server throws no errors, the game won't crash, only load forever, and I've redownloaded the AKI files three times and have reproduced this each time. Any Ideas?
