If you make a second profile, does it load to the main menu?
yes, i was reading through some other forum posts and tried that after posting this and am able to get into the game fine with a different profile

i had been using the listed mods for a little while with no hitches or complications.
earlier when trying to open the game i was getting stuck on the loading screen after the "loading profile data..." and leaves me stuck on the screen with the camera before the menu elements appear
