Reporting Guidelines

We depend on our users to help maintain a culture of collaboration and accountability. To that end, we provide tools to report user-submitted content which may violate our policies and guidelines. These tools come in the form of a “Report” as well as a “Report Abuse” button which can be found underneath submitted forum posts and/or on mod pages respectively.

These reports are sent directly to our staff and moderation team for review. Reported content and associated accounts that are found to be in violation of our policies and guidelines may be subject to administrative action.

We ask you to abstain from reporting content that does not adhere to your personal standards as we will only take action if the reported content is found to be in violation of our site rules. Personal disputes of subjective opinion are not acceptable grounds for a report.

Do not use these tools to report specific issues regarding the use of user-submitted mods such as installation errors, crashes, bugs, or other issues that are not direct violations of our policies and guidelines.

Using these tools to submit harassing, redundant, or frivolous submissions, may result in administrative action. Please respect the time of our staff by only submitting reports that adhere to the following guidelines detailed below. Failure to do so may result in an inability to respond to your report.

Be Objective

Before filing a report, be sure you understand our guidelines and policies that may be relevant to the situation:

Reports should be filed only when the content in question directly violates an established SPT Hub policy or guideline.

Provide Evidence

Violations of our policies and guidelines are taken very seriously. Therefore, solid evidence as well as appropriate context are absolutely pivotal and must be provided in order to determine the validity of your report. This can and should include quotes, links, screenshots, or other relevant media that may corroborate the report whenever possible.

Vague reports, reports lacking pertinent information, evidence etc. are not expedient. Staff will only take action or open up aninvestigation when provided with appropriate context.

Be Concise

Reports should be as short and to the point as possible. Reports should be filed only once, per infraction. Excessive reporting will be considered abuse and may result in administrative action. Consolidate the reporting of multiple infractions into one submission whenever possible.

Thank You!

We appreciate your help making SPT hub an open and friendly environment. Each report is handled on an individual basis so we thank you for your patience. After submitting the report, you will be contacted by staff as needed. We do not permit public discussion of moderation, doing so may result in administration against your account.

If you have questions or concerns about situations that may be beyond the scope of our reporting tools, please contact [email protected].
