Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Allows you to put Jailbreak onto guns with silencers and stuff

Made this small thing for myself, thought someone might want to use it too.

Removes any conflicting items from Jailbreak. Build all the laserguns you deserve! Yes, it's unbalanced. No, I don't care. Yes, it should work on older versions and future versions (unless they majorly overhaul how items are defined).

You used to be able to put it on guns while also putting silencers on them. Some time ago it got patched. I think it was unintended bug? Don't know, don't care. It looks nice, gives nice stats, so now you can put it on your M4s like in good old days

  • nice mod! Is it possible to add the jailbreak to other weapons too?

    • AFAIK by default it can only be installed on SAI handguards, other handguards simply don't have slot for it. Adding it to other handguards is out of scope of my skills as I imagine it would require modifying a lot of existing handguards including messing with unity bundles and shit which I haven't touched.

    • yeah the bundle modding is so tedious. But thanks for answering. I could look into it but if you need to mess with transforms and stuff, forget it. But it could also be as easy to just have other handguards accept the jailbreak through js filter modding.

  • i own a SAI handguard and jailbreak irl
    and i can tell you if your barrel is short meaning not reaching out out of the jailbreak no silencer will fit in it

    • JailBrake the item text is AR-15 SAI JailBrake 5.56x45 muzzle device, but the small text on the item in your inventory says "Jail Break".

      Not too long ago you could put silencers on guns that had this attachment. there's not physically enough room for that to be possible, plus it's not how the part functions. Some people thought it was fun to use, even if the JailBrake attachment spews out so much gas you can't see what you're shooting at properly. It was easily the lowest recoil combo for M4.
