A-TACS FG Clothing & Gear 1.0.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to v3.8.3. Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Adds 10 tops, 12 pants, and 36 gear retextures in the one and only A-TACS FG camouflage.

Introducing my biggest mod yet, created in collaboration with MILF Modding Group. Including 36 gear and 22 clothing retextures with meticulous attention to detail that 90% of you won't care about. I plan to continue refining and adding new items, and potentially making more A-TACS packs if there's enough interest (AU, AU-X, FG-X, iX, Ghost, etc).

All clothes unlock at the same level as the original versions, to maintain a vanilla gameplay experience. All gear can be purchased at Ragman (and Peacekeeper for the FAST MT and Exfil helmets) at prices identical to their vanilla counterparts. Some tops have adjusted glove colorways for better camo matching, like the USEC Base's Oakleys.

The camo's colors were matched from the Berkut backpack so everything should fit with that fairly well. I tried to keep everything fairly consistent, however due to how Tarkov deals with colors I can't get it all to be identical. And to be fair real A-TACS has a huge amount of variation in the color dyes used, so you could say it adds more "realism". However, please let me know if anything seems wildly off or too saturated.

Installing the mod is simple. It's divided into clothing and gear folders. Ensure JustNU's core is installed, then place one or both of the ATACS folders in your "mods" directory. For free and already unlockable clothes, rename itemData.json in "zz-ATACS-FG-Clothing\db\items" and replace it with itemData FREE.json.

    • Code
      Hello. Here's what helped me - SPT-AKI\user\mods\zz-ATACS-FG-Gear\config write "EnableQuestChanges": false
    • Thanks, I had to change it to "AddToBots": false.

  • For anyone having problems with the itemData Free.json file, the issue is the mod author forgot proper syntax in certain lines, a simple mistake we all make from time to time. and to fix it just add a comma " , " on line 112 (Or if you know how to check for position it's pos 3,594)
    looks like this
    "price": 0
    },

    This however will reveal a second syntax error on line 113 where the mod author forgot a closing curly bracket and placed a comma in the incorrect spot, to fix this add a closing curly bracket and a comma this " }, " on line 113 (pos 3,599) moving "bottoms" to line 114 remove the comma after the curly bracket on line 112 changing it from " }, " to " } "
    it should look like this

    "Price": 0

    }

    },

    I hope this helps anyone having issues.

    Update: Looking back adding a comma on line 112 just makes you have to remove it after adding a closing bracket meaning it's only useful if you were troubleshooting it by yourself so don't lol, also realizing you can post pictures so here you go this is how it should look.image.png?ex=66569bf2&is=66554a72&hm=fea43d776d2836c0f9454797eb2d4a36cdabc6e47ab110e10e5886ba5a9c50a3&=&format=webp&quality=lossless

  • For some reason replacing the itemData.json in clothing with the free one gives me a syntax error in position 3596. I'll mess around with it and see what I can do. Update: The Lord did not give me enough strength to figure out what's wrong.

  • These are great additions

  • I get the same warning.

    Mod (ATACS FG V1.0.0) is missing package.json

    • I think I know what's going on for both of you. When you unzip the mod, you should have a folder called "ATACS FG V1.0.0". Instead of moving that folder directly into your SPT mods folder, you need to move the 2 folders inside of it. So your mods folder should look like this:

      YogQgkk.png

    • That worked thanks!

  • Hello, may I ask why package.json is displayed?

    • I responded to the comment above yours with a fix, hopefully that works for you.

  • do you take commissions for retextures?

  • love love love it, any chance of doing ATACS AU for maximum SSO senezh drip??

    • I have plans to get around to it, however right now most of my focus is on a large update to the D.R.I.P. mod. Once that's out of the way I'll come back to adding some more stuff to this pack, and making an ATACS AU pack too.

    • sweeeeet i have DRIP also, been looking forward to more goodies there :3 take your time btw!! don't take this as like me rushing you lol

  • I feel like these textures need a material pattern put on top or maybe shadow spots. Kinda looks like you're wearing a texture slapped on top

    • Do you have any examples of specific clothes/gear that look like that? Because funnily enough I've already done exactly what you suggested for every texture (see included pic), so I'm a little surprised you think they look flat. Part of the problem might also be that A-TACS is an extremely messy looking camo with lots of gradients and transitional colors that hide details in textures well, unlike most of the other camouflaged stuff in the game that have patterns with flat colors and sharp edges on the shapes.

      Yl4LAgd.png

    • Just circling back on this, I’d love to improve the quality of the textures if I can since I strive for near perfection and accuracy, I just need an idea of which ones don’t look good.

    • I think upon seeing the clothes they're textures are on par with tarkov clothes, maybe even better. But i think the rigs may need a bit more variety in colour as they seem 100% a tac texture. Maybe some side pouches could do with a matching colour, brown could be good. This isn't a complaint by any means though. hq mod imo

    • That's actually a great idea, I have tried to add some variation with a couple solid color pouches here and there but mostly only in olive drab/forest green. I agree I should add some more, and I think some brown or earthy colors would look good and give them more of a visual pop. I'll get to work on an update soon, and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

  • Looks fantastic! Any chance on doing Slovenian Slocam (My Favorite Camo) in the future?

    Heart 1 Thumbs Up 1
    • I can't guarantee it but I'll definitely consider it, never seen it before but it's got some nice colors. If I don't make a full pack theres a good chance I'll just add some Slocam stuff to D.R.I.P.

  • might be a dumb question, but would the armors be compatible with the realism mod?

    • Yup! Since the retextures are an identical copy of the vanilla item just with a different look, Realism will just apply the same stats to the ATACS version that it does to its vanilla counterpart.

    • awesome!!! cant wait to give them a shot

  • good job my man
