Increase health depending on player level

  • If you are having issues post pictures of your load order and config file or you will be ignored.

  • No support will be given for older versions of SPT

Original mod by CAPATAINA can be found here

If they decide they want to continue development on the mod and want mine removed I will but until then I will be taking it over and iterating on it.

Description:

Config has since been split into two parts which all hinges on the first line of "split_PMC_and_Scav"; if it is set to FALSE then the mod will only use the _PMC values for everything.

Pretty simple, it increases your maximum health depending on the level of the player. The base amount is as follows:
Chest: 2

Head: 2

Left Arm: 3

Left Leg: 3

Right Arm: 3

Right Leg: 3

Stomach: 2

Total: 18 health per level increment since now it can be configured (the default is every 5 levels)

Config:

To change health values go to config/config.json

-Whether or not the health values for PlayerScav and PMC should be split/independent of each other.

-How many levels until health increase (default is 5)
-How much to increase each body part by per increment
-The base health of the PMC/Scav as well

Installation:

Unzip HealthPerLevel-mainREBOOT1.4.0.7z into your user/mods folder

Misc:

Will work on increasing health per level of certain soft skills such as Health and Vitality.

Doesn't change bot health, only player. (For now... ;))

If you have anything you want to see in any of my mods feel free to leave a comment and I will gladly explain why it's not feasible (I'm only kidding, I do actually like suggestions; some of them are just... not good lmao)

  • Version 1.4.0

Took me longer than 15 minutes in case you were wondering

    --- NEW FEATURE ---

    • Added option to split config file into SCAV and PMC values for those that want different health amounts for each
      • If this is set to FALSE then the mod will automatically use the PMC values for everything.

    --- BUG FIXES --

    • Changed the default Stomach config value to be the same as default EFT instead of whatever number I randomly put there.

  • Version 1.3.0

    Updated to 3.8.0

    Functionality unchanged

    Virus Total Result

  • Version 1.2.5

Now able to configure how many levels it takes to increment health. The math might not check out but eh, I changed literally 3 lines of code lol :D

If there's any issues let me know in the comments

Default is 5 levels so it's a wee bit less OP in the mid to late game.

  • Version 1.2.1

Fixed the package.json not correctly on some versions?

IDK why it wasn't working for some as in testing mine ran fine, but should be fixed now

  • Version 1.2

Added config file, reformatted a couple of small things in the code.

  • Version 1.0.0

    Initial release

  • Is this mod still being updated?

  • up to 3.9.x?

    Thumbs Up 3
  • Hello it work with version 3.8.3 ?

    • Not for me. It causes a game breaking error. I get a NULL on maximum health line.

    • It is working just fine for me. Do you have any other mods that adjust health or how meds are applied?

  • Does this only affect player PMC/Scav health. Or will it affect AI PMCs too (I am new to SPT AKI so I don't know how player and bot health is handled)

    • only player obv, it is said at the end of the desc.

  • Thank you for making this mod! I am a Chinese player and I want to ask may I repost your mod to our website? Of course I will indicate the source and your name

  • Very much enjoying the mod! I'd like to second the request for energy and hydration as well, if it's possible.

  • amazing mod! 1 question is possible to mod the energy and hidration stats too?

  • Hey, when I go to download the version before the 3.8.0 update it says the file is in the owner's trash on the google drive link, any chance this could be fixed/reuploaded as I'm (and some others may be) still playing on 3.7.6?

  • Hey love the mod. Wanted to mention it seems like the Config by default lowers Stomach health to 35 instead of the default 70. Not sure if this was intentional but I have just been manually updating the config when I need to.

Also was curious if you ever intend to split the config so you can adjust Scav and PMC health individually. Scav runs I usually just run around being an idiot so it would be fun to mess with their health more independentally.

    • Funny thing you mention the config because I actually just updated the page about 5 seconds ago to address that. I won't push out an update since it's so minor but it will be included in the next update.

As for scav health yeah I was planning on working on that soonish once I actually get around to developing again.

    • I'd love to give you a hand. I don't work directly in Dev myself anymore but I know a decent bit.

With your permission I would love to crack open the source and see if I can make something happen. Could send it your way if I manage to get something working and you can use it or scrap it.

    • Feel free, the source is all open in the mod itself since it's server side. Just take a look at the .ts file and you can see everything that goes on under the hood.

    • Actually looking at the code again I can probably split the config into scav and PMC in about 15 minutes; I'll try to get an update out before I go to bed.

      Happy 1
  • Is this compatible with Realism? If not is there a way to make it compatible?

    • I have not tested with Realism but if you disable health changes in Realism I don't see any reason it should interfere. If you are using the health changes with Realism this mod will likely not work.

Either way whichever mod loads last in the load order will take precedence over the other(s).

      Thumbs Up 1
  • This is a cool mod idea.

Just installed it to try it out. :)
    ---
EDIT : Mod works just fine, but I think it needs adjusting. I know there are settings in config, but only for how much per level .. not when or at what level. In the early game, this is fine. But in the 30+ level area, where I installed the mod, you're bringing in so many meds/heals that you can't really loot. 1-2 IFAKS no longer cut it and you if you're looting, it's to find as many meds as possible. I may have almost 1k HP, but if I can't heal, I'm avoiding big fights as if I'm lvl 1 because I can't heal/repair very much.

Suggestion : decrease the amount per level or change how often it increases.

    Happy 1
    • Good idea, I will look into it some when I get the chance. Once I do I will add config options for at what level does it stop giving more health or something along those lines.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Added config for how many levels you need to increase before health goes up; let me know if you have any issues

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Will do. :)

  • UNTIL UPDATE BY THE AUTHOR:

So, this mod will not work on any version, because there is an error in the line of the SPT-AKI version. How to fix this? Simple: open the mod you downloaded here and find config.json.

Now, this is how it MUST look like to work properly:

    Heart 1
    • Updated, let me know if anyone has any issues. In testing the previous version worked so I am confused how it was broken; regardless happy gaming!

  • Just downloaded it right now (my character level is 16) to check if the mod is retroactive (SPT-AKI version is 3.7.5). Checked and... nah, it's not retroactive sadly :(

Also, I advanced one level up, and nothing happened... lol? That's kinda strange, I don't have any mods that change HP at all

    • I will test and get back to you, it should be retroactive

Are you sure you unzipped the folder into your user/mods?

      It should be this

      ..\user\mods\HealthPerLevel-mainREBOOT

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Uh, I just looked at my server SPT-AKI, and it says smth like that:

In the mod HealthPerlevel-mainREBOOT package.json has unacceptable line of code of the version

    • Alright unfortunately I can't fix it tonight so I will have to tomorrow

    • I wrote you in conversations on how to fix it. I will also post it here so people can do the same by themselves

      Thumbs Up 1
  • will this only increase my health? or the health of every pmc in game?

    • Currently only the player health
