  • Version 1.3.0

    Added a "felt weight" feature.

Multiplier that makes your character controller feel as if it was lighter/heavier.

Default value is 0.25 so change this if you feel too light or want to feel lighter.

  • Version 1.2.0

    Updated for 3.9.X!

    <3

  • Version 1.1.0

    • Added config options for hard settings (that's just what they're called man idk)
    • Added option to toggle server-side inertia changes.
    • Removed weight and sprint patch.
  • Version 1.0.1

That was a rocky start... TLDR: I want to apologize for the initial release, that version of the mod is not something that's acceptable.

So I made a release on github about a week ago to send to some friends for testing. I forgot I made changes after that testing phase and went ahead with releasing it, I'm sorry for the confusion that caused.

I'm sure you all enjoyed the crouch strafing...

Worst initial release ever? Possibly. 🥇 ;(

    Changes:

    - Mod actually works now. This is the version I intended to release from the start. :S

  • Version 1.0.0

  • Is there a mod or way to make leaning quicker?

  • when i ADS after sprinting, i kept sliding.

apparently the Deceleration Speed you want LOW values instead of high values. maybe it should be renamed Deceleration Time instead

  • I cant A-D spam :( how do i fix this?

  • realism compatible?

    • no idea try it

    • You’ll have to disable Realisms movement settings in the launcher for the mod.

      Heart 1
  • People have been posting issues since May and no response at all about this issue?

Movement gets stuck and takes extra steps when crouching

    • I'm unable to replicate it so I've been unable to try potential fixes for that problem.

I've tried low ergo weapons and strafing while aiming down sights, neither gets me to keep moving anymore. after v1.1.0 I haven't had any issues using it.

    • I haven't checked moxo's updated version but on his old Midcore server mod there was a conflict that caused this. Do you happen to have that installed and inertia turned off in the mod's config?

    • Sorry for the delay. I do not have it installed. Saw some changes in the new version, potential fix for it or unrelated?

I tried Fontain's mod as well with FUInertia included and same thing happens there. I wonder if it's another mod causing issues or not.

Sorry, I just checked. It's not in a folder called TMS, it's under MoxoPixel-TMS. I've disabled it and will check.

    • Nope no fix because I can't get that issue to occur on my end. Just a new thing I added.

  • are you ever gonna add AD lean speed editor option?

  • nope, just tested the new version and I still get random glides from time to time. It's hard to tell when, though it seems to have something to do with ADSing with a low ergo weapon while strafing. For now I'll stick to manual editing of globals.json that works just fine.

    • You slip when you try to move in the opposite direction.

for example, press A and then press D. unceasingly.
      NOT A,D,A,D
      just move A>D>A>D

it is also same with W,S direction

  • Does this operate by adjusting original config figures - put into the mod itself - or does it modify current globals.json? (read those values at game start). Lazy question as I have modified globals inertia configs that work really well but can see the advantages of being able to experiment with sliders so may well be room for improvement - lazy because I could just try it and find out but I'd rather know before I start :)

  • Too rude and sharp movement, need some time and fixes to make it stable and comfy as original "Fu Inertia"

    • You can adjust the settings, if you hover over the names it'll show you a description of how it impacts the movement. You're absolutely entitled to your opinion and I'd support you if you wanted to post your settings here to share with others.

  • Does this conflict with the movement changes in the realism mod?

  • I don't know if this is under the brow of inertia but would it be possible to reduce or remove the "drag" on your weapon when moving or turning? It's like your character is dragging his rifle through water or only using one hand, it makes moving and engaging very unpleasant.

  • Any chance you could add an option to remove the mouse sense penalty when sprinting and turning left or right?? There was a mod in 3.7.6 that did that but it isn't updated yet for 3.8.x. Would be awesome if you were able to add that to yours!!

  • if you ads while moving and let go of the movement key you'll keep moving for a second

  • We should disable the inertia in svm settings ?

    • I don't see an option to do that in SVM? If you have issues then try it and see :)

      Heart 1
    • Sorry there is a mouse PENALTY

      or something like that

    • that should be fine then.

  • version 1.1.0 is such an awesome upgrade, definitely a must have mod

    Heart 1
  • triple checked to make sure no mods were conflicting like in tms fuinertia, played around with the settings a bit and i honestly love it, so far have had no issues, although i wanted to ask if it would be possible to add a slider to change speed of leaning? kanalove kanalove other than that absolute banger mod

    Heart 1
    • I've been looking for how to do leaning as well lol. I'll keep trying, thank you for the comment <3

  • Hello! I don’t know what’s wrong with your mod, but it still doesn’t work on version 3.8.0, and doesn’t work on version 3.8.1. The version of your mod is the latest 1.1.0. :/ ?(

    Here's a VIDEO - FUInetrtiaRedux.dll (1.1.0)

    Thumbs Up 1
    • Thank you for the video I appreciate that. I think it could maybe be a mod conflict? Try disabling the server-side setting and going in and out of your hideout to test. If it happens with that disabled then I think it's another mod modifying the CrouchSpeedAccelerationRange setting.

    • Works! Disabled the inertia setting in the "MoxoPixel-TMS" mod ( "FUInertia": false )

    • glad to hear it! I'll add a note to the mod page when I'm home.

  • same problem as the comment before me moving sideways while crouched moves me automatically

  • moving sideways while crouched moves you automatically

    • Are you on v1.0.1?

    • i was on 1.0.1 ill try the new one now

    • tested 1.1.0 and it still slides when pressing w,a,s,d once everything else seems to work fine

  • It might be an issue with 3.8.1, because I didn't notice it yesterday, but now when pressing caps to walk, if you were walking before doing so, you slide a few steps. Something similar happens when ADSing with a low ergo weapon while strafing

  • I downloaded the updated 1.0.1 version and put it in the plugins folder 3.8.0_29197. But nothing has changed, the character is in a crouching and lying position, still walking on his own.

    My install Mod and plugins.

    Desktop-Screenshot-2024-05-04-16-01-17-00.png

    • I don't see my mod there. you should have fuinertiaredux.dll in your plugins folder

    • I removed your mod \BepInEx\Plugins\FUInertiaRedux.dll (1.0.1) before taking a screenshot. Because it doesn't work for me. For some reason the character continues to walk on his own.

    • Try installing it again and showing me the plugins folder.

    • I downloaded your mod version, choosing 1.0.1, and also downloaded 1.0.1 from github. And it still doesn't work. The version of the downloaded file shows version 1.0.0.0 (you can see it in the screenshot). I recorded the video for you. Please check the file version, the archive is 1.0.1, maybe you mixed up the old file 1.0.0 and put it in the new archive???

    • Hmm, seems I am similar to you. When I press C to crouch and if I move any direction my char continues to take an extra 2 steps. Really annoying

  • Feels really good. Nice work.

Noticed one bug, when you are overweight (I was 50/71 kg) and sprint, if you stop sprinting while pressing/holding A or D you will slide.

    • Thank you! I'll look into that.

    • I'm getting this too, still feels like inertia, also the old mod had an f12 menu, this doesn't, any reason why?

    • It's a completely different mod, the old one only had a couple config options. I'm planning on adding some tweakable settings in the future, it's just kinda weird to do due to the way the game is. You'll likely have to restart your game to see the effects of the changes which sucks.

      Thumbs Up 1
  • So this mod is not working right now?

  • Mod is half broken, author, you need to do something with all this messed up inertia.

Crouching and moving became very weird, of course it's now feels so much fast, BUT it works strangely.

  • There is no inertia in a standing position. But in crouching or lying positions, the mod does not work, and does the exact opposite. When you press the movement key, the character moves several steps.

    • True, there is something wrong with this mod..

    • Still never fixed

  • Can confirm issue with crouching and moving, you move multiple steps with single WASD [any] press. Also feel very fast.. idk if its just me not used to movement.

  • I felt very slippery moving, especially at the end of the sprint.

  • As others have said it seems that their may be too much inertia removed, as you continue to move when crouched and you are a + d strafing. also noticed some strange movements occuring with a blacked limb. you move slowly at first like with a normal limp an then quickly gain speed up until you get to roughly regular walking speed.

  • PMC Walks by himself when crouched, definitely feels better but is there anyway to remove that delay between A+D like the old movement?

  • after crouching my pmc walks by himself, lol...
