Agreed, I stared my modding journey in EFT with this mod and i know it was a good idea poorly executed. I plan in the future to rebuild this mod from the ground up. I have been working on it but it's kind of on the back burner as I am working on something special right now i can't talk about.

This was my first mod, and as I am developing it further I plan to change everything about the mod. I have been working on this as I don't like it either. Now that I am better educated in how the mod structure works and crating custom weapon fully I have already begone reworking all the custom weapons. That's a good idea, I will add a config file to the patch coming out tonight that allows the user to change the prices of items. Thanks for the suggestion.

I tested the buying and selling of items last night and completed all the quest to make sure everything is working. I suggest using aki profile editor to remove the machine from your profile and installing v0.0.6 again fresh. As they me have been some changes that will conflict with older versions.

My suggestion is to use the AKI profile editor and remove the machine from your profile. Then install the mod again as I have changed a few things with the quest that may mess up you existing quest.

btw...quests like friend from the past wher you need to take somting and plant it in a defrent map..or vitamins wher you need to collect stuff from few maps will be great!!

Fixed and will be in a small bug patch later today. I also changed the keys of the quest in the json file from themachine_# to themachine_QUEST_NAME.

That's interesting. I've also found the issue with themachine_6 and mentioned it to TeejayMerks in another thread here, but wasn't aware of the first issue you raised.

I've fixed the issue with themachine_6 locally for myself to be able to use this trader and QB together in my setup and I'll now also fix the other issue here so I can keep using both mods until this one gets a proper update where these issues are fixed.

What is the recommended naming convention to fix these issues? Would it work to rename themachine_1 to themachine_01, themachine_2 to themachine_02, etc. ?

No, and I wouldn't recommend changing questIDs yourself anyway. As soon as the update is out and you replace yours, you'll lose all progress due to questID mismatches

This could be why I couldn't load into a customs raid (it would crash when it got to 0 seconds on spawning in). I have questing bots installed too and need to kill 40 scavs on customs (quest: Heckler's revenge). Backdating The Machine mod fixed this issue

I didn't realize that but that is the reason why they show up locked after accepting the first mission. So that will be fixed in the next update. As of right now the mod is working without problems "other then those quest popping up in red" and I will have time to fix that.

I agree with you. No idea what exactly this is bringing in. New trader with some new quests that is the only thing that can be understood... If the author can list what exactly this new mod / trader is bringing in would be highly appreciated

yeah newest version is bugged and causes game to freeze during the deploying timer. For me it either freezes at 7 seconds or if i restart enough times it freezes at exactly 0

That's strange I haven't had that issue with testing. I'm sorry for the troubles I will try to quicky fix this and roll out a patch today.

Just letting anyone know, the new version broke my game on Project FIKA, im rolling back to the last update. The game refuses to load to main menu now.

You must of not updated in awhile. That has been changed a few updates ago. Also as always you should backup your profile when updating any trader mod as files could be corrupted. Not saying that will always be the case, but it could happen.

updated my comments, my bad it was another mod smh. I made a goof awhile updated another. also, 1.9mil seems WAY too cheap for a THICC case, same with all they keys and keycards... Very unbalanced Also I bought a THICC case from him and now I cant purchase ANYTHING from him anymore. Like nothing I just get the infinite spinning wheel nor can I load into raids anymore.

Ugh god I wish I didnt remove my 0.0.2 version. And of course I cant download it again... I just have to delete this mod for now its causing me way too many problems. I cant seem to edit the prices of anything on 0.0.4 and 0.0.5 is broken.

It's the super water that it's requiring instead of the regular water bottles. Which is expensive so id recommend using profile editor or SVM etc to skip that quest

How did you fix it? I'm having issues with this one as well. IU would rather not use the Skip mod on this one if I can have fun killing scavs instead.

Go to mods > Virtual's Custom Quest Loader > Database > quests > themachine

search for "5d1b33a686f7742523398398" and replace that with "5448fee04bdc2dbc018b4567"

and just like that the quest will function as intended.

Increasing the prices would be nice for me in my current situation, but might I suggest something else? The mod author for Scorpion has made a config for setting the price multiplier which is very practical, maybe that could be something for you to look into. Just a suggestion, no expectations

you can change the ver# in the package but i don't think there is a need to at this time. should just work for 3.8.1 as of right now.

OH! I really love the facts that stuff in the store isn't cheap. I tend to make a LOT of cash In spt, so having a good way to spend it is always nice.

I am really glad to hear you like the changes. There is more to come tomorrow with more task in the version 0.0.4 update. As for the prices, I tried to keep it in mind that money comes easy in SPT. There shouldn't be dummy cheap items.

This mod works on both 3.8.0 and 3.8.1 I just haven't uploaded it for the 3.8.1 yet. I plan on keeping it on 3.8.0 mainly for now till I have a more developed mod or the version of SPT changes drastically.
