Fix for SPT-Aki Profile Editor 3.0 helper mod 1.0.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Fix for SPT-Aki Profile Editor 3.0 helper mod, so that you can load modded items into the database and edit your stash without having to worry about removing modded items.

skitles55 (Creator of SPT-AKI-Profile-Editor) is saying the helper should work, so hopefully this fix is unnecessary. Try without the fix first, I wouldn't recommend you use my code if you don't have an issue. I created this as a fix for myself, since the original code wasn't working on my machine.

Warning:

Uninstaling or deleting the helper in ProfileEditor means you will have to reapply the fix.

Instructions:

1. Follow the original instructions: https://github.com/SkiTles55/S…uidelines/ModHelperENG.md

2. On step 5 you will recive a red message. Close the server.

3. Move the fix files (user folder) into your spt directory. Choose replace files.

4. Launch the game.

5. Launch the server again, this time you should get the green message, and the server will start hosting.

6. Launch the Profile Editor, the DB should now be correct.

Some of these steps are probably unnecessary, I just haven't tested them, this is how it worked on my machine.

Disclaimer:

This is a botch. Without ChatGpt this wouldn't exist, my typescript knowledge was precisely 0 when I started this, also shout out to reading the documentation. I created this in like 10 hours, 5 of which I should have been asleep. I typically only write projects for myself, but since others where having issues with the helper mod in the support thread I published the code.

To do:

1. Figure out how profile editor installs the modhelper, so the fix can be installed in the first place.

2. Do QA testing

3. Pull request, Fork, or whatever. To get the original updated. I had to get around to learning github at some point.

  • For anyone trying to use with 3.10, it works fine just follow the default install and it should work, but in the case that it doesn't, change the "sptVersion" in the package.json in the mods' folder to "3.10.x" and save the file, and it will work.

  • doesnt work for me :(

    • Make sure you follow the install instructions.

What error message do you receive in the server terminal.

I doubt version is the issue, just in case tho what version of 3.9.X are you Running?

    • hey will it work on 3.9.8?

  • Nice job. Thank you
