Featured Leave It There 1.4.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Place any item in raid and it will persist across multiple raids until you pick it back up!

[tabmenu]
  • Version 1.4.0

    For SPT 3.10.X Only

    • BIG code cleanup in preparation for some future projects.. 8o
      • Should also mean better syncing with Fika, and generally just less jankiness (hopefully, maybe, probably...).
    • Move Mode menu no longer flickers when you look at other interactable objects.
    • Rotation mode now locks the player camera's rotation, should feel way better to use now (thanks for the help on this Drakia!)
      • See F12 config for rotation speed and direction inversion things.

  • Version 1.3.1

    For SPT 3.10.X Only

HOPEFULLY fixed insurance issues.. yell at me if it's still broke broke

  • Version 1.3.0

    For SPT 3.10.X Only

IMPORTANT: If you are updating from 1.2.1, the next profile you load the game with will have all of your currently placed items applied to it!

    Fika Compatibility

    Per-Profile Item Data

    • Item data is no longer global by default, but instead will save and load to user/profiles/LeaveItThere-ItemData/[your_profile_id].
    • If you are updating from an 1.2.1, the next time you open the game your item data will be applied to the profile that you were logged in to.
    • Set global_item_data_profile to true in the server config.json file if you still want to have your item data globally accessible to all profiles.

    Immersive Physics and Collision

Note: all of this is configurable in the F12 menu

    • Placed items at or above a total size in-inventory of 12 cells will collide with the player and will block bot pathing.
    • Be careful with this, you can block doorways and such with items preventing bots from entering a room (for better or worse haha).
    • Immersive Physics option (defaulted on) that prevents items from floating. They instead will fall once you are finished moving them.

    New Console Command

    • lit_list_placed_items will now list a number identifier for each placed item, use that number with command lit_teleport_item_to_player to teleport it to your player. Useful if a specific item is lost or glitched under the map or something.

    General Improvements

    • Cases where an item is teleported to the player will teleport it in front of them, instead of in the floor below their feet.
    • Move mode now has both a save and a cancel option.
    • Buffed default cost allotments for every map.
    • Optimizations to remove or at least reduce lambda closures.
    • Misc. code cleanup and refactoring (it could really use more of this, tbh)

If you have any issues, let me know!

  • Version 1.2.1

    For SPT 3.10.X

    Fixes:

    • Fixed rotation of placed items not saving if you use 'MOVE' mode

    Feature additions:

    • Balancing features for 'MOVE' mode:
      • Sprinting cancels the move mode menu
      • If your inventory cannot hold the item, you cannot use move mode
      • Both of these things are configurable (defaulted on) if you don't like them
  • Version 1.2.0

    For SPT 3.10.X

    New placement feature!
Yes.. it is cheesable. There *may* be some things in the future that I add to try and make it more balanced, but for now just don't abuse it unless you enjoy the cheese.

Be careful not to clip your item into the floor and activate physics for.. obvious reasons lol.

  • Version 1.1.0

    For SPT 3.10.X Only

    Bug fixes:

    • Fixed Issue with certain maps (like Woods) being entirely broken and not allowing you to loot anything.
    • Removed "Place Item" interaction from dead bodies.
    • Fixed issue that caused placed insured items to duplicate.
      • Sorry about this, you'll be receiving an insurance return for every single raid you did on a map with an insured item placed LOL. ;(
      • There is still small a bug related to insurance. If you: place an insured item > leave the raid > start a new raid > "Reclaim" and pick up the item, it will not be insured again until you exit the raid. If you die with it, insurance won't apply. Once you DO exit, though, the insured status will return. This is not a priority for me to fix right now, so call it a T.A.R.K.O.V. Anomaly. :D
    • Altered how I'm patching EFT interaction code to fix incompatibility issues with other mods like Use Loose Loot.

    Features:

    • Server mod now does these things (configurable, see the config tab)
      • remove_in_raid_restrictions
      • everything_is_discardable
      • remove_backpack_restrictions
    • BepInEx/plugins/LeaveItThere/placeable_items_filter.json config created. This is really only for advanced users who want to be very specific about what is place-able. See config tab for how to use.
    • I discovered in testing that item cases do not qualify for the check I'm doing that checks whether an item is a "container" or not for calculating item costs. I find it really cool, so I'm not fixing it! What does this mean? It's a feature, Not a bug!
      • Item cases like weapon cases, junkboxes, etc. will be MUCH cheaper to place than other items with inventories like backpacks. This should encourage you to use them as caches, and make obtaining them feel way more rewarding!
      • They will instead cost their outer size like any non-container item would (a junkbox costs 16, for reference).
  • Version 1.0.0

I Have been made aware of a few different issues with the mod, I will get to resolving them ASAP. Don't install right now unless you are willing to experience bugs!

    SPT 3.10.X ONLY

  • ground zero <21lvl and >21lvl are using 2 different storage files i believe, making any stashes created prior to reaching level 21 inaccessible.

    • Yeah I realized that recently, I'm sorry about that. I had missed a cap sensitive map ID ("Sandbox" instead of "sandbox"). Next update will consolidate them to one.

If you want to have your <21 items available, go to user/profiles/LeaveItThere-ItemData/[your_profile_id] and change the filename of Sandbox.json to Sandbox_high.json

  • Because I'm sure this will get asked a lot.. bots won't be able to loot your stuff :)

    Thumbs Up 3 Heart 1 Crying 2
    • I wonder if this can be config'd to work with looting bots / let them loot your stuff! (for us masochists)

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Maybe in the future, but for now I need to focus on getting it Fika compatible so don't hold your breath

      Thumbs Up 3 Heart 1
  • Any way not to receive the whole experience/map stash ?

    • Will be fixed in a future version

      Heart 1
  • Is it possible to auto drop any item and block you from grabbing (translation) if there's fighting near you, or you're in a fight ? for an amount of time ? Maybe with a message like "it's to dangerous to focus on that now" or something ? Playing with rogue lite I want to have 'unlimited' slots and grab regardless of space, but have some other way to block actions. This mod is invaluable now ! lol

    • Maybe someday, for now just leave the balance options on that require you to have space and if you get shot, sprint and it'll cancel the move.

  • So, not sure if mod related, but I got head dropped while holding an ammo box in translation mode, an empty error box appeared with just ok to click, and after, I got the same gear I had before the raid. Also, an idea for ppl that play with unlimited slots, maybe have a way to pay for slots above a certain number (paying scavs to keep your stuff safe)

  • Is it possible to not gain EXP after taking your loot back to the hideout ? or not getting any after rechecking ?

    • So when you load into a raid, the mod is searching all your placed items for you so that you don't have to search them like a container.. this gives you search experience. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix it, it's kind of a low priority issue in my opinion, so don't hold your breath.

    • No prob. Just took a huge bag to exfil for a test and had almost 3k experience. Not a big deal.

One thing is a 'clone' bug. Not sure what triggers this, sometimes items get cloned, when I reclaim and take, I have a version that remains, but can't take it again, same items (can take the items inside) and if I move/save, it bugs ALL interactions apart from exfil, can't take/see anything.

    • I've seen that bug in my games as well.. unfortunately it's super random so I have no idea what to even check. I always just hoped it was a Fika sync related bug, because I am playing with a dedi client.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Maybe it happens on map change ?

    • The cloning bug is messing with putting new stuff in, as one instance updates but the other doesn't, if I move one bag I can see this happening.

  • This mod is really great and makes the game more enjoyable. Can I share it on the Oddball Chinese Community Forum? So that more players can see this excellent mod. Thank you! :P

    • Sure go ahead, just please credit me :)

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Any chance of having the total points spent shown ? Maybe a keybind for gathering all to player, and seeing your stash in dynamic maps while placed ? I always wanted this in SPT ! THANK YOU !

Also, the 'gather all to player could be tied to a fee paid to 'scavs' and a time limit, where your stuff get's returned ? It sounds good, not sure if possible.

    • See console commands tab :)

and an option to see the amount of remaining points would be cool, but you can always just place and reclaim an item to see that.

    • I know. Just wanted to share my thoughts. What's left is buying shelves and other items so we can have customized stashes ! lol Open world hideouts in bunkers and other places with fridges and weapon racks ! lol

  • do the items save between pmc and scav raids? I cant seem to find any of the items I placed as a PMC during a scav run

    • Oh yeah I guess the game considers your scav and PMC to be 2 separate profiles. You can set global_item_data_profile to true in the user/mods/LeaveItThere-Server/config.json file and your items will persist across all profiles.

    • youre amazing, thank you!

  • Using this with 'Rogue-lite' mod, and my god, it has become my LIFE ! lol Rogue lite wipes any loose loot in your stash apart from containers and $, btc, gp....lol

  • Hello, when I'm in raid and I place an object and later in the raid I reclaim it, then take it on my PMC, it only visually duplicates me, it doesn't bother me... what later bothers me is when I get out, I get the

Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

    • Are you able to reproduce this, and if so, what are the steps? I have not experienced this issue.

    • I've met this several times, yes. I don't know how but it's probably by getting into places with objects placed and recover later in a melting raid (no exctting between interactions)

  • Ah, would be cool to have it working for 3.9 :) Just brrrrilliant mod!

Is it possible to make loot on map (in general) stay as it is? I mean never change? So f.e. you load a raid on mapA and so loot generate AND THEEEEN this loot will stay that way until... I dunno, you die? Then you load another map, mapB, and the same happens. So you emulate (simulate?) kinda open world :)
Of course anything else after raid ends stay the same too (including bodies - would be ideal) lootwise; as you (and others, meaning: bots) left it.
Just an idea. And a question (is it even possible)

  • Bug report: Mod breaks insurance returns on fresh install. I have Prapor return insured items immediately. When mod is installed, insurance never comes. Prapor doesn't even send the usual message "you lost stuff, heh". As soon as I remove the mod, insurance comes as before.

    SPT v3.10.4

    https://github.com/Jehree/SPT-LeaveItThere/issues/1

    • New version should fix it.. it is annoying to test though so let me know if you still have issues

    • Thank you, I haven't tested it yet. The easiest way to test is in the server variables, set prapor return time, start and end to zero. Go in raid with ensured items, die, prapor should immediately send you a message.

    • Yeah that's what I did and it seemed to work, but sometimes there's weirdness. Like a helmet, for example, has plates in it that are technically insured, so you may get the message even though there's not a REAL item left in the raid.

    • I think the issue might be with aramid inserts which are not insured individually, as they can't be taken out, but still returned in the helmet in the state they were in.

    • Yeah that's what's I'm talking about. Did they actually get returned to you? I couldn't get them to in my testing so I figured it may just be visual- where you get the message but no items actually come back.

  • This is super fucking cool, fratello. Well done.

    Heart 1
  • could this in theory be used to "place" your corpse (and any gear carried), so that you could come back to retrieve your stuff in a subsequent playthru?

    • Unfortunately no, not without more work. It actually used to have a bug where corpses had the 'PLACE' option, but it didn't actually work.

Edit: so yes, in theory it could, but it isn't a priority for me to implement right now / wouldn't be super easy. I'll keep it in mind for the future though.

  • This one pair with plastic card and raid overhaul = unlimited LOOT!

  • this is the greatest mod ever made

  • What a genius idea, I guess it is no different than manipulating it using the unity editor, except it is ingame xD

  • Fika please

  • Foaming at the mouth for Planned Features number 3.

  • this is incredible, love this so much.

i'm imagining a soulslike system where, instead of insurance, you can physically return to where you died and loot your stuff back.

or with Fika support, leaving your own "Jaeger caches" for your friends. leaving some spare meds around in case you run out.

    this is just amazing.

    Heart 3
  • fika compatible?

  • Can this be done with quest items too?

    • I... actually don't know. If you can, it's a bug.

      Thumbs Up 1
  • So essentially like backpack from Stalker Anomaly? You can leave in areas like a little base or something. I can see this being good for the transit mode/Traveler mod. Speaking of, are you possibly going to update that mod in the future?

    • Unlikely. Trap is back and keeping up with Path To Tarkov so that'd be the open world mod to get.

  • Putting items for later use? can be a John Wick?
    What a job.

  • If you're one of the 18 victims... redownload the mod or set WhitelistEnabled to false in BepInEx/plugins/LeaveItThere/placeable_items_filter.json

  • Wow what a great idea. Thank you :)

    Heart 1
  • This is such a cool idea with the addition of transits. I'm imagining stashing "points" could be tied to the intelligence skill.

    Thumbs Up 3
  • Great mod! I recommend it to everyone. Just the best thing I've seen in a while. Now you can make a cache with medicines and food on each map, and not be afraid that you will die of hunger or bleeding. It would be great if the author could adapt the mod for FIKA to share the loot with his teammates. Author, I love you man <3

    Heart 1 Thumbs Up 1
  • Time to pack a container full of ammo/provisions/meds and do 2 hr plus raids. I’m moving into Dorms boys 😂
