READABLE KEYS by DeadW0Lf 3.10.2

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Improved descriptions, tooltip and short names for Keys and Keycards. Also modifiable usage count in config.

Configurable properties for Key and Keycard usage have been added.

Keys and keycards will now have a map-specific prefix, making it easier to distinguish keys belonging to different maps. Each map will have a corresponding prefix for the short name:


RENAMED to READABLE KEYS - Please delete older folder `deadw0lf-betterkeys` from mod folder and install the latest version

    The whole idea behind this mod is to provide better names and visible short names for keys and keycards in the stash.

  • Why are Streets, Factory, Ground Zero have all the same prefixes? Shouldnt Street and Ground Zero be something like ST and GZ respectively?

    • Yes, there is a mistake in the config, the prefix should look like this. I will update the config in the next release.

    could you change the name of your mod has it is really close from Better Keys NG


    I would propose an even better solution if you would like: we could join forces on better keys NG and add the features there (I would give you the commit bit on the project)


    I think most of your features could be added as options in better keys NG and this would provide the best user experience for everyone.

    • Sure, I can change the name, I did not put not much effort naming the mod. Feel free to incorporate my changes into your mod. The main idea behind this mod is simply to make the key names properly visible in the stash.

    • If I incorporate your changes into my mod I insist that you should become a co-author on better keys NG... :p I would not want to rip-off your work in any ways. I find your ideas interesting.

  • don't wanna make a account for something i won't use just to download a mod you could probably do the installation without that website
