This mod will pause the following:
- You
- Character movement
- Health
- Hydration and Energy
- Stamina
- AI
- Time of day
- Raid Timer will read "PAUSED"
Default keybinding is F9, but can be changed in the F12 BepInEx menu.
Possible Bugs, Conflicts, and Unexpected Behaviors:
Note: These may be due to issues with EFT code, and not the fault of SPT or this mod. There's no guarantee that these can be fixed in future updates!
Note: None of the below have been reported as wide spread issues. I have been unable to replicate any of them:
- Pausing with less than 10 minutes on Lighthouse does not stop the timers in the background. Resuming the game will show you have lost time, potentially resulting in an early MIA.
- Adding extra time to raids using SVM or Raid Overhaul can interfere with pausing raid timers, potentially resulting in an early MIA.
- Pausing the game, pressing ESC to access the menus and then back into the game can stop the player from being able to loot and damage enemies when resumed.
- Pausing the game, pressing alt-tab to another window, returning to the game and resuming can stop the player from being to loot, interact, change weapons, or change stance.
- Pausing the game during a door opening or closing will stop the animation of the door. After resuming, the door is stuck in place and will no longer open or close.

Hello, I appear to have found an issue.
I went into a room, in dorms, and paused the game before the door fully closed, when I came back and unpaused I couldn't interact with the door at all, basically being stuck in the room.
It looks like the pause stops the door when closing/opening, but when unpausing it doesn't resume the door changing it's state leaving it stuck and maybe leaving one stuck in a room.

Thanks for the feedback and reporting this issue. I'm not sure whether to be impressed or concerned. There's nothing specifically in the code I can think of that would modify the behavior of doors, especially stopping them mid-open or mid-close. I've never tried this myself, but I would have assumed the door animation would have finished even after pausing.
It's easy to avoid for now, and I'll add this to the main page of the mod so others are aware not to do this
I'll test this some more during my work on the next release and see if I can find anyway to work around this EFT behavior.

hey, regarding Polarius' post on March 22nd, I have accidentally recreated the bug two raids in a row.
1st - I paused and instantly alt tab out of game to anoth window. Came back to spt window and unpaused and I was unable to loot, interact, pull my guns out and when I crouched I couldn't stand back up :O I made sure it wasn't something on my pc eg, macros on keyboard or anything, but I confirmed it was just SPT
2nd - very similar to above regarding the tabbing out, but it was about 20 seconds after pausing. I came back and basically had exactly the same problem as Polarius, able to shoot but I wasn't connecting shots, however I was able to loot containers, but not dead pmc / scavs

Fixes for this I will be trying now -- I have JUST gotten the update installed as I was running on 1 version behind. So maybe this is fixed for me now. I will confirm after if it does happen again.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm sorry you've experienced this problem with the mod. Hopefully it's not a reoccurring issue for you and most of your raids with PAUSE are problem free.
This particular issue is very difficult to pinpoint, as I have not been able to replicate it once. There's nothing specifically in the code that modifies the ability to loot, interact, change stances, fire weapons, cause damage, etc. As it doesn't seem to happen every raid, the exact conditions causing this are hard to identify.
Are you using any other mods that might affect interaction behavior? (SVM, HandsAreNotBusy, etc.)
I'll keep looking out for this issue in my testing, but sometimes EFT does weird things we can't explain.

2. Does the timer not remain visible and red when under ten minutes?
3. Does your raid end in MIA when unpausing?

I'm very sorry that my description of the problem is not very clear
1. I have not used any mods or other methods to modify raid timers. Each map`s duration is vanilla.
2. Life is busy,too less free time to do more test.Reacently I only play three maps:Lighthous,Factory,Customs.
The Pause only fails in Lighthouse.within the first 30 minutes, the pause function can pause the countdown of the timer.But in the last 10 minutes the Pause function cannot stop the countdown.
For example, when I have 9minutes left, I pause and wait for 2 minutes. After canceling the pause, the timer in the upper right corner of the game will show that I still have 7 minutes left.
3. For MIA,I didn`t do any test in V1.3.1.

Paused for dinner with over 30 mins left on raid timer. When I came back and unpaused, it immediately kicked me to the menu with MIA. Failed tasks and lost a bunch of stuff. Kind of defeats the purpose of a pause mod if you can't leave it paused.

This happened to me as well. Was AFK for 20 minutes and when I unpaused, the raid ended and I was MIA. Lost a lot of good loot.

There's a common bug with these Pause mods, where if you pause the game during the red 10 minute countdown, the "PAUSED" text will override it and later hide the timer, instead of perpetually reporting remaining time. I've gotten MIA sooo many times because of this.
Does your version of this mod fix this by chance? I'm desperate enough to delve into the code.
Think it's something to do with "MainTimerPanel.ForcePull" field.

Fixed it. Though keep in mind the code was based on a different fork and is refactored quite a bit. You can do whatever you want with it, can republish etc.

I haven't gotten to try it yet, still waiting on a few more mods to update before I once again dive into the world of single player tarkov. Just want to give a big shout out to netVnum for updating this and bringing it fresh into the world! Life gets busy, so busy I just found out last night 3.11 even released. True legend for just diving in and updating this in such a timely fashion.

Has anyone tested this extensively? Does this really work and not cause problems with bot spawns, internal timers, etc?

It is unusable for me, pressing f9 does pause, but to unpause it takes quite a while, then I get terrible stutters and hang ups, then after leaving the raid, it says there is a back end ttl error, and when I finally get to the menu screen, there is no memory of the raid, noting is there and my quest or any loot is not there.

Sorry to hear that the mod is unusable for you. This looks like an isolated issue that may be caused by other mods, but I'm happy to investigate the PAUSE mod to see if I can get it to "play nicer with others".
Right after it happens and you get back to the menu screen can you grab the most recent logs?

i think there is a Bug once you Press the Pause button, then esc. into the Menu and then back into the Game and unpause, you cannot loot anything anymore nor do any damage to the Enemy like you don't exist.

Thank you for reporting an issue and helping to make the mod better. I've tried for 30 minutes to replicate this bug and can't get the same behavior. If I pause and Esc to menu, no menu icons appear (no big deal), but I still hear the button hover sounds and they can be clicked (Disconnect, Resume).
When I unpause after returning from the menu, I can loot, open/close doors, AI targets me, I can damage/kill them, etc. Could there be another mod you have affecting these conditions? Please let me know if you have more details to provide.
I want to keep this mod working and available for everyone. Thank you!
