  • Version 1.0.1

    2 new features :

    • Allows you to remove the looting sound
    • Allows you to remove the sound of the inventory opening/closing

(Changing the volume was way too complicated without getting into Unity engine natif C++)

Add Vault sound on body sound with F12.

  • Version 1.0.0

  • Just added the newest version and all my sounds are so quiet they are pretty much muted. Not sure why but I cant seem to fix it

    • what sound are you talking about ? Body Sound, Medical Sound Interface Sound ?

  • It cannot be modified at any time through the F12 menu.
I tested it in hideouts and raids. When I simply adjusted the volume to 0% and back to 100%, the volume did not return and remained muted.
Or it doesn't work at all, there is no change in the volume.

    • I think it has something to do with "body audio use PMC EQUIPMENT", when I found that the mod didn't work I turned that option off and it silenced the sound. But then I couldn't adjust the volume anymore, no matter how I turned the option on and off.

    • Fix

  • I know it's probably a stupid question bro but would this have any chance of working for 3.8.3? The F12 menu works perfectly but none of the sounds are changing. I appreciate the mod regardless, thank you!

    • Oh sorry dude, 3.8.3 was a long time ago. Assembly has changed a lot, so I can't adapt it to this old version.

    • No worries! Figured I'd ask. Thanks again! ^^

  • when wear headset, the body sound very loud and the bodysound mod dont work, can u fix it?

    • Can you rephrase the problem? I don't understand.

on headless fika with / without headset.

    • i do %20 but when i use headset, this self sounds like %100, so loud but dont tried with %0

    • ok ok give me log after activate it. If u ve 5 min :

      1. SPPPPTTTTT\\BepInEx\\plugins\\BodySound\\debug.cfg PUT TRUE.
      2. play the game with bug.
      3. Give me body_log.txt file after play.
    • i fixed it with dowloading new version, idk how but work, can u add rain and like ambient sounds too?

    • Ah okay, sorry then for the inconvenience if it was bugging before. Ok nice idea about rain sound

  • Great mod.

If you're looking for more things to help us make quieter, I have some suggestions:

    * The "coughing" sound played when health gets below certain thresholds;
    * The heavy breathing sounds played when wearing certain face shields/face covers.

  • Hey, could you edit the mod to encrease sounds? Would be very nice

    • Nop. limite by Unity cap to original baseVolume sry.

  • This is a great mod! Is it possible to adjust the volume of the UI notification sounds as well? I'd like to lower the volume of the recovery notification sounds for recovery buffs.

    • Really a good idea. I've also always wanted a WeakAuras-like system like in WoW for buff tracking in EFT. I'll look into it once I'm done fixing the other mods. Thanks for the idea!

  • Nice work! This is awesome.

  • Hi, Is there a file for version 3.10?

    • no 3.10 on my computer dud sorry ;(

  • This mod is what I've been looking for all time. Well more complex than sliders still i can finally remove the gun movement sound.

Tho it is sad that it's only sliders rather than sounds attached to the player regarding what he wearing specifically i hate listening to the gear audio simply by having a melee weapon equipped. Yet the sound comes from parts of a gun. Still that would be closest to what's possible to make in a mod i guess.

    Love a god mod.

    • Yeah, judging by the variable names in the audio clips (like gear_stereo), they seem to refer to the player's gear: body armor, helmet, weapons, and other equipment attached to the PMC. I can try to answer your need, what exactly are you looking for and I will tell you if it is possible.

    • i have found what i wanted. but rather me turning the volume down i was after some that would update as you equipped gear. More of an effect for the ai. but that would be for some other mod i guess & not here.

i don't play with fika but it's the best example i could come up with regarding an explanation.

like if your player was naked say in fika other players wouldn't hear the gear audio but the more gear you equipped the loader the gear audio got.

    • Hmmm interesting. I could try to evolve the mod in that direction. I have access to the 'Player' entity. That's how I'm isolating the sound from the local player. I can retrieve information like the carried weight, which is proportional to what the PMC is wearing. Or even the inertia.

    • Sounds awesome looking forward to see what you do next.

    • Done, I hope this meets your expectations. If you need anything, feel free to reach out to me

  • This mod is great! Would you be able to do it for the sfx made when searching loot containers?

  • This is great! Thanks!!

  • Awesome mod ! <3

  • Is there a way we can have this for AI too?

Aka, make AI 50% louder, myself 50% quieter for example

    • Yes, it's absolutely possible and can be sorted by the entity that originated the sound. I just need to test if the volume can be increased. On the other hand, making you quieter in the 3D Unity environment is a whole different story ;D

    • For me it's purely for my own hearing, so my own footsteps dont drown out an enemy's sound for example. makes stopping to listen less of a problem.

Would be such an awesome feature!

    • If you already lower your own footstep sounds by default, you only have enemy footsteps left to listen to. Personally, that’s how I play. In the mod, I set 'sprint' and 'walk' to 20%.

    • deffinitely, though environmental audio is still same volume. I am already doing basically the same thing (20%) and it helps immensely

  • cool we need it bugcatfat   bugcatchillin

  • So, the question is: can the bot hear you no matter what you do? )))

    • The sound coming out of your speakers has nothing to do with the 3D sound scene in-game. Proof: https://streamable.com/j299td

    • Thank you for your quick response. I meant to ask if bots can still hear you at the same level even if you set everything to 0%?))

    • BTW things that you have done is huge!!! Great job!!!
