This mod restores the deprecated "Fast Grenade Throw" mechanic from earlier Tarkov versions (<0.12.12), allowing you to instantly throw a grenade without having to equip it first.
- Fast throw grenade: Pressing the grenade key will throw the grenade instantly, skipping equip animations.
- Low throw override: Hold 'Left Control' to force a short throw with QuickThrow feature.
It's the wrong animation, but the grenade follows a trajectory as if you had thrown it with right-click
Restore Vanilla throw grenade ==> Hold Left Shift to equip it first.
F12 menu to configure 2 keybinds or disable the feature: :
- Low throw ==> default : Left Alt
- Force Vanilla throw grenade ==> default : Left Shift

So flashbangs for some reason have the low throw by pressing just G. Is there a way to reverse the controls - using Shift + G to fast throw?

I really like the idea. Unfortunately, I also had the issue of the grenades disappearing. I didn't see the explosion and it didn't sound like it was where I threw but I definitely heard an explosion somewhere when I threw a grenade.
Apart from that, it currently appears to take out and throw a grenade upon releasing the key, right?
Could you change it in the following way?
Holding G takes out a grenade, pulls the pun and goes into "prepare to throw" animation/mode - where the arm is held back but you can wait before you throw.
If you could use the base behavior in that regard, it would probably work with the "cooking grenades" mod, which allows to start cooking the grenade when in that mode.
"Pressing" G would simply be a very short / unnoticeable "hold" then.
Please don't feel obligated, these are just proposals which would lead me to use the mod (apart from the throw bug being fixed)
Edit: Maybe the idea of "staranew" is even better, where pressing G would immediately start cooking the grenade as well if cooking grenades mod is present.

Awesome mod! Would you be able to add cooking to the grenades as soon as you press the grenade key?
So as soon as you press “G” for example it would make that “tick” sound of the pin coming off, timer starts for the grenade, and player chooses when to release “G” key to release the grenade.

I already have cooking grenades (awesome mod!) How would this interact with it? would you be able to cook an instant throw grenade or would you have to Shift + G to get the original method and then cook from there only? Thanks in advance!

are you using SSH's VocalPlayer or what it's called? I remember that when I last played there was a bug with grenades disappearing due to that one but he had a fixed version somewhere.
Just an idea, might very well not be it but your video reminded me of my little bug hunt back then.

You have an incompatibility. Set the debug.cfg file to true and send me the log file in the mod folder and your BepInEx logs
