(ATF) Valkyrie Trader 2.1.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Custom trader based on Advanced Trader Framework, Includes balanced Gunsmith trades, quest marker trades and junk trade-ups. Intended for some Hardcore convenience.

After struggling for a while with how to handle gunsmith with hardcore rules I decided to make a trader that makes it easier. The trades still require the base gun and some junk, so it's not free but allows you to progress Gunsmith without trying to find the parts or making exceptions by buying off the flee-market.
Also decided to add trades for makers, cameras, jammers and multitools for quests.

The RSASS trade uses both the VPO-215 and an ADAR for now since it locks you at Gunsmith 6 until Peacekeeper 3, trade is more complex to compensate.

I am open to balance and new trade suggestions, please let me know.


Note that some presets must be folded before handing in, eg. Gunsmith 2.


For installation, merge the db folder with the one in the original mod folder.

Just Install like any other mod in the mods folder.

    Gunsmith 6 now requires both and ADAR and VPO-215. (I still want Gunsmith 6 to be a slight hurdle just nowhere as much as it is without this mod).
    Gunsmith 1 now requires 2 Apollon Cigarettes. (Latest Tarkov version requires a more complex preset so i made the trade ever so slightly harder).

    The MPX trade for Gunsmith Part 13 needs 3 new mods.

    The stock has to be changed to meet the recoil requirements.

  • To all those that are having missing avatar issues, it seems to be from an engine limit of having more than 3 independent custom traders. Not much can be done about right now since ATF generally loads last as i understand it.

    Again big thanks to yoshka for figuring out the issue.

    • Honestly dude, ask Revingly how he made LPA and Food&Drink mods, cause those are custom traders that don't require ATF but work just fine.

  • CZ_2128 Just wanted to let you know that your latest update push does not fix the missing avatar image issue. Thought you would want to know. I don't know if it is ATF based issue or not. Other custom traders seem to work fine as far as avatar images in my (albeit limited) experience.

    • Thanks for letting me know, I haven't made any changes to any of the files related since the first version so I'm inclined to think it's an issue with the latest ATF version, I don't think any other ATF traders have been updated for 2.2.0 so not sure if that's why mine is the one having issues.

      Either way I've shot yoshka a message, hopefully they can shed some light on this because I'm quite stumped.

  • Hi! I'm having an issue with the trader avatar loading. I tried changing the path, but it didn't end up working. Do you know why this would occur? Thank you for any help you can provide.

    • Hi, I'm not 100% sure why that would happen.
      Can you confirm that your ATF avatar file contains shizu.jpg (db/avatar/shizu.jpg) and the path in the base.json (db/traders/Valkyrie/base.json) is correct ("avatar": "/files/trader/avatar/shizu.jpg").


      If the problem persists, are you able to confirm if it works on other ATF traders?

    • I checked and the path is correct. I don't have any other ATF Traders, but I am having the same issue with another trader from the Lua-TheGachaBox mod, but not my other modded in traders.

    • Had the same problem, paths looked fine and the trader works and the image is present in the folder but it just loads in game for some reason. Only new trader that does for some reason.

  • hey! this one is really great! Might i suggest adding some more barters for the harder barter items to find for you hideout? Like packs of screws etc.
