Custom Weight 1.3.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Allows you to adjust item weight values. Dead simple.

Custom Weight

Features:

  • Adjust all item weights by a relative percentage.
  • Adjust weights of items that belong to a specific parent category by a relative percentage.
  • Adjust individual item weights by setting their exact weight in KG.
  • Blacklist items from being adjusted.

To install:

  1. Decompress the contents of the download into your root SPT directory.
  2. Open the CustomWeight/config/config.json5 file to adjust raid time options.
  3. Leave a review and let me know what you think.

Issues?

  • Version 1.3.0

    Updates:

    • Updated to support SPT v3.9

    Notes:

    • This version should be compatible with any SPT v3.9 release.
    • The configuration file is in JSON5 format. The file extension is not a mistake. Do not rename it!

    Issues?

  • Version 1.2.1

    Updates:

    • Resolved a rounding error that caused items to not update properly. Thanks Helli!

    Notes:

    • This version should be compatible with any SPT v3.8 release.
    • The configuration file is in JSON5 format. The file extension is not a mistake. Do not rename it.

    Issues?

  • Version 1.2.0

    Updates:

    • Made updates for SPT v3.8 compatibility.
    • Removed the feature that allowed overweight and critical overweight adjustments.
    • The configuration file structure has been updated. You can not use your old versions!
    • Configuration file is now even more strictly validated.
    • Refactored mod structure to be cleaner.
    • Updated npm dependencies to be in-line with SPT core.

    Notes:

    • This version should be compatible with any SPT v3.8 release.
    • This update brings support for SPT v3.8. Between now and the last few EFT updates there was a change that altered how the overweight and critical overweight values are calculated. This requires a lot of testing to ensure that the correct values are being altered and I just haven't had time. Until I can do the testing, the feature to change these values has been removed from the mod. Instead of changing these values, simple adjust all item weights to make the default overweight and critical overweight values feel more comfortable.
    • The configuration file is in JSON5 format. The file extension is not a mistake. Do not rename it.

    Issues?

  • Version 1.1.0

    Updates:

    • Added the ability to adjust the player overweight and critical overweight thresholds.
    • Added the ability to adjust item weights by parent IDs
      • This means you can now easily adjust the weight of (for example) all ammunition with a single line in the configuration file. Big thanks to ajdrigs for the idea.
    • Specific items can now be adjusted by targeting either their ID or name.
    • Updated the configuration file format to json5 to allow for actual comments.

    Notes:

    • The configuration file remains simple, but the format (and file extension) has changed since the last version. If you are upgrading, you must manually copy over any adjustments you've made to the new configuration file.

If you experience any problems, please submit a detailed bug report.

  • Version 1.0.3

    Updates:

    • Updated for SPT v3.5.0 compatibility.

    Notes:

    • This update is not compatible with SPT v3.4. You're still able to use v1.0.2 of this mod for SPT v3.4, but no support will be provided or updates made to help with legacy versions of SPT.

If you experience any problems, please submit a detailed bug report.

  • Version 1.0.2

    Updates:

    • Updated for SPT v3.4.1 compatibility. Should also work for previous versions.

If you experience any problems, please submit a detailed bug report.

  • Version 1.0.1

    Updates:

    • Updated for SPT v3.2.4 compatibility.

If you experience any problems, please submit a detailed bug report.

  • Version 1.0.0

    Initial release for SPT v3.2.3.

  • Version 1.3 of this mod should be compatible with any hotfix version of SPT v3.9. If you notice an issue, please submit a bug report.

  • Sorry. I didn't understand anything. I don't speak English well enough to understand most of the comments and the mod description. It's a pity, the mod idea seems interesting, and it seems to work for many, based on the comments. I apologize for possible errors, I use a translator! But thanks to the authors of the mod, maybe with time I will be able to master it too

  • I changed nothing in the mod but keys and ammo still weigh.

  • Hey Refringe, how do I change the weight of a cloned item? I'm trying to give the Scalar Works PEAK sights from EpicRangeTime's mod their proper weight. I changed the vanilla item's weight and the cloned item's weights, and only the vanilla sights are changing weight.

  • For the 3.9 version. I can't seem to add a specific bag by itself to change the weight of. It obviously works when I change the backpacks category overall, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong about adding the one bag in question for the server to recognize the change.

  • "5448eb774bdc2d0a728b4567" - BarterItem is not working as parent for all "junk"

Scooped "items.json" and have made a list with all sub-parents for BaterItem, you're welcome.

At some point it doesn't work. Are there any conflicting mods?

  • Hello.

How do I manage to reduce the weight within a container? e.g. I want everything including the gamma container to weigh 0.

    • This mod is unable to do that.

    • too bad, but it's still a great mod, thanks for that.

      Thumbs Up 1

    • I set that but keys and other stuff still weigh.

  • Hi guys,i am using the mod and set the overweight values but still ingame my player stamina is on minimum and i walk really slow what am i doing wrogn here?

These are my presets maybe it helps:

    [removed]

    • You appear to be using an older version of the mod with configuration options that are no longer supported. Only the current version of the mod (v1.2.1) is supported with the current SPT version (v3.8.0). Please update.

  • Is there a way to apply a multiplier to the weight of a specific item? I need a multiplier control option for a specific item, not the parent category.

    • Not by using a multiplier, but a specific weight in KG. You can adjust specificAdjustments so that it includes the item name (or id) and the corresponding weight. You can use https://db.sp-tarkov.com to look up the default weights and adjust from there.

    • Yes I know that. Some mods use the "clone" format to copy the weight of the original item.

I wanted to avoid having to find and enter the weight of all clones' original items, and instead just enter the mod item ID and multiplier...

    • How many items are you adjusting manually like this? What type?

  • Love it. Thanks Refringe!

  • Greetings,

    what am I doing wrong?

    MduLTSv.png

    That is with "adjustment: -50,"

    Why 0 items?

When I try it with the parent IDs like

    "5448e54d4bdc2dcc718b4568": -50, // Armor

    "5447b6094bdc2dc3278b4567": -50, // Weapons

    "5a341c4086f77401f2541505": -50, // Helmets

    nothing happens, too.

    • There was an issue on my end. Please re-download the release and try again.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Now it works perfectly fine. Thanks for this rapid support!

Attention: The -50 on everything is now in your config. But people have to adjust it anyways to their liking.

    • Thanks for pointing that out. I'll address it when I release the offical hotfix later this evening.

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Does it work on 3.8.0? If no, update it please

    • Man, edit one digit in the line "akiVersion": "~3.5", to "akiVersion": "~3.8". I checked it myself today, everything works

    • 🤨

  • Works on 3.7.6

  • Yep, works on 3.7.1.

  • Update?

    • Give it time. ;)

      Thumbs Up 2
    • Sure

    • How about now? :D

    • Give it more time.

    • Oki doki, its working for 3.7.1 tho, but i got ugly feeling in the gut while running outdated stuff. its all good😄

  • Does anyone know of a mod that I can change the weight of ammo to 0? SVM has an option to change the overall weight but I only want the ammo to be changed.

  • on 3.5.5 there is a bug where walking is extremely slow, sprinting is still the normal speed and other movement still works normally, just walking is painstakingly slow. have not been able to recreate the bug however. hope you update the mod! is very gud mod kanawow

    • yeah i have the same issue as well, something funky is going on that is causing my character to not be able to adjust my walking speed, I'm walking extremely slow. i had to uninstall all my mods an go thru every single one just to find it was this mod causing it.

    • I'm trying to reproduce this, can you remember what your settings were?

  • I'm still overweight no matter how high i set the weight settings.

overweight is set to 60kgs and critical overweight is set to 90kgs. gear on my character is only 30kgs but evertime i enter a raid it says im overweight, did i not change the right settings?

    • same for me dude

    • Seams like a bug. I'll look into it shortly. In the meantime you can still change the item weight to be lesser so that you're not overweight.

  • Thanks for this, got tired of my basic kit bringing me right up to the line of overweight.

    Heart 1
  • Would it be possible to reduce the weight of only all ammos, Without having to do them each one by one?

    • As of right now, no. I can look into this for the next version.

    • Oh cool, Thank you.

    • A new update has been released with this functionality. Thanks for the idea! <3

      Heart 1
    • Hell yeah, Thanks! <3

  • For me its working fine in 3.5.0

    • I just released a 3.5 update. I encourage you to update.

  • Crazy question, but would there be a way to set everything's weight to minimum?

Some sort of master list of items to lower the weight of sorts, I want to try playing some super fast weightless playthrough kanalovekanabear

    • You could accomplish this by adjusting the weight to “-75”. This would make all items in the game 75% lighter. Have fun!

  • Update 3.3.0

  • I must be doing something wrong. Any time I try to add an item under individual weight overrides, the server will not launch. With just the 2 items in the list you included in the default file, it launches fine.

    izWnTGm.jpg

    • Line 19 is missing a comma at the end of the line.

    • No change with comma. Also tried without those 2 items and just the added line under Overrides.

    • Ok, no idea what the hell happened, but now it's working although I didn't change anything other than copying the config file and trying again.

      Thumbs Up 1
  • My friends!

Can you please tell me how to change the weight of all keys at once?

Prescribe each separately for a long time ...

    Save...

    • You want to change the weight of just the keys?

    • yes, everything else works well..

    • I’m a little confused as to *why* you would want to do this, as the keys are typically very light to begin with…

But you would have to use the link in the config file to look up the key names or IDs and then add each one into the config manually.
