How do i update mods?

    Hi all

    I'm very new to the modding scene and very confused about forums as well. I hope I'm in the right place asking this: how do I update my mods properly?


    I read the faq's, and can't seem to find it there. Do I just download the new version and drag it in the mod directory and let it overwrite? And will that mean my settings will be reset? Is there a way to keep my settings?

    It would depend entirely on the structure of the mod.

    Normally it is best to remove the old version, and replace it with the new, then set up the config.
    If the config file is Identical then you can copy your old config file straight over.
