Why are some versions of the AKI launcher a Node.js or Javascript, and others a .exe? And can I change them to and fro?

Hi,
I've been tinkering around with the server of Solo tarkov in an older version (3.4.1) and the server file is a Javascript or Node.Js, and i've had some success on this, but when i try the same thing on the newest version, the server is a .exe and my tinkering no longer works.

I was wondering if this is intentional, or I may have done something in the past to my 3.4.1 version to make it a Javascript.

If anyone could help explain or elaborate to me, that would be dope.
