    So I died to a Scav and got the following popup.


    After playing around with some of the JSON files I found the below fixed the problem.


    I searched for the id, provided in the error code (and in the error log), in the /user/profiles/ JSON and found 2 lines.




    The second line used the term "location" with a 1, based on the error saying it was expected at 0, I changed it, saved and re-ran the game.



    Problem solved!


    Hopefully this will assist anyone else with a similar issue!

    Changed the title of the thread from “Critical error receiving profile data. (expects an item at position 0)” to “FIX - Critical error receiving profile data. (expects an item at position 0)”.

    So please forgive my technical ignorance. Do I just edit this line in notepad? When I try to open the " /user/profiles/ JSON" that's one of the only things it gives me an option to open it with.
