[Modded] Getting a spt-core.dll file version doesn't match what was expected and is unable to start error

We don't support Fika. You need to go to their support.

Yes! In launcher open dialog box for game location and select correct folder. Even though it showed correct folder it threw error until I reselected the folder!

If you have something that has to do with fika, you don't do it here.

IF IT IS THE SAME AS WHEN I HAD IT, I HAD SWITCHED THE FOLDER I HAD USED FOR SPT. THE LAUNCHER WAS STILL SET TO THE OLD FOLDER, IT WOULD RECREATE THE FOLDER AFTER I DELETED IT AND READ OUT OF THE NEAR EMPTY FOLDER. I HAD TO CHANGE MY PATH IN THE LAUNCHER SETTINGS TO THE NEW FOLDER I WAS RUNNING IT OUT OF.

SO IF IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM, NOTHING TO DO WITH FIKA AT ALL.

Again, does not matter.
Fika applied SPT framework does not support every mod and can cause unexpected problems.
Even if this case did not have to do with FIKA, considering the sensitive nature of providing extensive support for co-op available framework, please, if you may, go to FIKA support for SPT that has FIKA.

And writing in capital letters does not help emphasize your words, it only makes them harder to read.

So I dunno what all the people here with authority issues problem is as soon as they see ANYTHING fika..... But this fixed my issue and I'm doing JUST fine with fika now, thank you very much JDM and absolutely no one else in this thread... (Except OP I guess since it got me here, anyway.)

Let's assume you are the one providing the support for these issues.
You do it for free with your spare time.
There is a certain mod that often causes unexpected problems, is not compatible with a lot of other mods and also is a quite sensitive topic due to it's nature.
You may tell people you will not provide support for this mod.
But people ignore that and nag at you saying that it was not an issue related with that mod.

If you don't follow the guidelines, you're not respecting the effort and time of the people who provides these support.
You naturally cannot get a welcoming response.

Bruh, it's an open forum my dude.... it's not like this was posted to the mans mod page directly.

Anyone with any spare time can come here and lay down some help my friend... chill out.

I got my help showing up here from the sidelines looking for the same issue, from a guy whose only made two posts yet in his entire time on here. You cannot say this has not helped someone, and chances are this was probably OP's problem too, I can't say for sure but I got the answer I was looking for.

Kind of weird for you to say chill out. Din't you call others that they have authority issues or what not?
Being an open forum does not mean you can just ignore guidelines. There are multiple reasons regarding this rule including the sensitive nature of that mod.
If you have gotten your answer, that's great. But i don't know why you're trying to justify people ignoring rules.

So, by the mere fact that he has FIKA installed, you won't offer support? This is an SPT thing... going to FIKA support would just provide the same issue for the person asking, after all this is something that happens when you rename your SPT install folder... Just tell them to correct the name of their install folder...

Check everyone's error report and determine if it is fika related or not? If you're up for it....
This issue was easy enough as it is but that's not the case for all.

Yes. We do not support Fika.

Let me explain further for you. Do you know why this issue happened? Because Fika requires you to turn on developer mode in the launcher. When you turn on developer mode and rename the SPT folder - it doesn't automatically remap it.

It does if you don't enable developer mode. You only need to enable that for Fika.

So...yes. The actual issue is because of Fika. So we direct people to Fika support. This is SINGLE PLAYER tarkov, not Fika. Providing support here opens up legality issues.

Then you should make a post with logs so you can get assistance. Did you copy mods from an older SPT install?

likely that you have overwritten the core.dll file while installing a modpack or transfering other files

Can't find a newer thread so replying to this one.

I'm having the same problem so I went to look for the file to see what the version was, there was nothing in the plugins folder named spt to begin with, so I went the reinstall route, when I tried to reinstall it told me I needed to update the live version.

Since this is something that's happened to me before and doing this fixed it, I suggest at least checking for an update.

Although, I'm not exactly sure why the plugins/spt/spt-core.dll went missing in the first place. Currently going through the tedious task of figuring what mod may have done it.
